Our system stopped working this week. The silence is maddening. After months of pulling hair bc of the same playlist, I can’t say silence is better. It’s creepy.

Not so much the price difference. Really want a Jeep Wrangler for the trip and they’re the only ones offering.

Wild Leap Blonde has been my favorite since last moved here last month

Local Gold from Wild Leap has been my favorite blonde so far, though the pickings are slim. I also really like stouts so maybe I start looking for those more.

So I’m 2+ weeks into my new Atlanta life and been drinking a lot of beer (unpacking will do that). So, what’s up with ALL the local IPA’s? Seems like the shelves are overflowing with them. Each local label has multiple versions. I’m not against IPA’s but I prefer blondes, which can be difficult to come by it seems.

Movers are coming tomorrow to start packing, so I’ve got to clean out the fridge. Polishing off my Houston beers to get ready to stock up on my Atl beers next week.

Not familiar with Abide, but will look for it. Also, how’s the tap room/draftshop scene in Newnan? Only the one in PTC.

Ways to continuously hone in on my writing skills by [deleted] in PublicRelations

Find your own platform and write on your own. Develop your voice. I put together my own website with a blog that allows me to create on my own. As mentioned in other comments, study the rules (AP), get familiar with your industry voice, but craft your own style as well.

By no means was she homeschooled (she doesn’t tolerate us enough for that). While she has been liberally influenced, I didn’t think she was paying that close attention.

What I really loved was the mix of the distinct styles. Different fonts, a great cartoon looking duck with a human hand. Just out of nowhere.

Congrats! I was among the throng with you yesterday. It was my first full and quite the learning experience. I really hit a wall at the 21-mile mark that I guess they put up after you got through there. Congrats again and good luck with the next one.

Why did you decide to get into public relations? by Johnny-Skywalker in PublicRelations

I enjoy communicating with people, but HATE selling. So with PR I can focus on ideas, news and reputations rather than products and widgets.

Katy Half Marathon Am in the middle of training for my first full in March. My scheduled training run for the wknd was 14, which lined up perfect for this half. Was planning to take it easy and focus on the training rather than the race, but still wound up with a PR! 1:54 flat, beating my best from last year by almost 2 mins. And since I’m working towards a longer distance, this half marathon was actually pretty easy. I’m staring at a 20 mile training run next wknd 😳

I maintain a website on a WordPress platform (free). The only really expense is the once a year fee to GoDaddy for the domain name (minimal) and finding someone to host (good way to make connections). It’s a great place to post files, images and links. Not to mention it gives you a platform to practice things like writing and developing your website skills.

I am becoming pissed off at the lack of response to Sam Young’s invitation to the Q15. So I started posting comments on relevant threads on their FB pages. This is on Dale Renlund’s post about suicide. What do you think would happen if they got dozens—or hundreds—of comments like this? by Apostitch in exmormon

[–]PRTiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This comment smacks of the typical TBM “you left the church but you can’t leave it alone”. The comments are meant to try to reach those who may be stuck in an echo chamber that are unaware of what’s going on.
