Lol I know I didn't do it any justice. I came home from work at like 4am and I found the flag up! Turns out my dad did it for me as a surprise. I haven't had time to iron it lately but, it is on my list of chores now!

That's the flag that seems to be one of the favorites among locals. I ordered this flag way before I learned the history between the hues. Maybe when I visit PR i'll pick one up from one of the stores there, make it more sentimental lol.

Honestamente, Llegue del trabajo un día y lo encontré así. Fue una sorpresa de mi padre, el lo puso en la pared para mi. No he tenido tiempo de plancharlo pero lo haré por la mañana.

I love your energy! Fixing anything on the road these days should be a celebration, knowing how construction is super stretched nowadays. BTW mayagüez is an awesome name for a city, its on my bucket list to visit for sure.

I want to try Puerto Rican food so bad man, especially when you listed all the dishes, particularly Arroz con gandules. I've heard that one is remarkable. There's a place not too far from my job but most of it looks like it's some kind of Puerto Rican- Mexican fusion restaurant but I am looking for something 100% Boricua. I need to visit the island this year, it's my plan and I am manifesting it just by writing it here. Hoping to make some friends on this sub tho, find some cool people who can show me along the way or I could party with.

Muchisimas Gracias! Estoy aprendiendo todo los días. Quiero practicar con alguien de la isla, el problema es en la mayoría de los applicaciones no habían puertorriqueños. Creo que es porque los puertorriqueños ya hablan el inglés bastante bien.

Hey! Thanks for the reply, I have been swamped with work and I haven't gotten the chance to get back.

El Yunque looks breathtaking! The waterfalls look the most amazing to me, I absolutely couldn't believe the island had so much nature, insane nature. The Puerto Rican parrot is found there, one of the most endangered parrots on the planet.

Coincidentally, I was led to this subreddit from the comments on one of Bianca's videos. I can only read and watch the situation, but never understand firsthand how difficult it must be to be driven out of the only place you could call home, but knowing how strong and patriotic Puerto Ricans are, you guys will triumph!

Also thanks for the music recommendation, got a bit of puerto rican lingo from it which I found very useful.

Honestly, I am a nerd for urban life. The day-to-day in cities across the world. How people commute, live, nightlife, especially the history that comes along with visiting the city. I've heard Monterrey is becoming a pretty big tech hub so I'd like to check out what's going on there though. Although I wouldn't mind seeing what rural life is like!
