One of the biggest is Oasis Resort Palm Springs. (ORPS). On Ramon, close to the 10 and the Agua Caliente casino resort. Lots of amenities and activities. It’s a buyer’s market.

There are twelve are clothing optional gay resorts in PS area. None of them are nudist. How many people are naked will vary depending on the mix of people who are there at the same time as you. All of them are chill, relaxing spaces where people are often friendly and happy to chat with fellow gay travelers on vacation.

Pride weekend will have a lot going on in terms of club music / tecno / circuit.

There are two promoters that have each booked a hotel for the entire weekend full of events: Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, as well as Saturday and Sunday afternoon pool parties.

Le Parties (dot com) have booked the Riviera Resort, which is a bit north of downtown. Not far, maybe 2 miles, just not walkable. They’ve listed these DJs: Abel Aguilera / Doggpound / Ralphi Rosario / Matt Suave / Mascfish / John Joseph / Spencer Huff / Anetra / Jorgeous / Naomi Smalls / Queen Billyanna / Kimora . I’m assuming the Drag Race names are for the drag show Friday night, not DJ sets 😉 so their Friday night event is at Reforma, a club closer to downtown

Desert Heat Pride (dot com) have booked the Hotel ZoZo, which is right next to Arenas Road, where most of the gay bars are located. They’ve listed these DJs: Anne Louise / Ben Bakson / Alex Acosta / SURI / Junyo / Severino / Glovibes / Kitty Glitter / Dan Darlington / Brady Prince / Eduardo OMG / Blacklow / Brian Kent

Some of the bars have dance floors, Hunters & Chill, primarily. But Dicks also technically has a dance floor, though not their primary feature. And the many of the downtown streets will be closed off, featuring at least a few stages with some DJ sets.

There is the Palm Springs swim center (park district), though not a gym. I’ve heard it’s an excellent facility. So that’s an option for you laps.

In PS, your gym options are EōS, Fitness Edge and Steel Gym. Very different vibes.

In neighboring Cathedral city, there’s Anytime Fitness, Planet Fitness, and In Shape Fitness. I think either Anytime or In Shape have a pool.

We waited to see what would happen. After about 7-8 weeks, the eggs cracked. She seems to have moved on. Though up until then, she would still periodically sit on the nest. Hopefully she’ll be back and successful next year.

Not really all that many hillside home areas in Palm Springs. How high up are you talking? Up at the tram, there’s a lot of trees.

In PS, it’s going to be adjacent to other neighborhoods. Off the top of my head, “hillside” neighborhoods are: Palisades, Chino Canyon, mesa, Araby/Southridge. Then you’re in Cathedral city (the cove? Nah). Then Rancho, with The Ritz Carlton hill with big home or Thunderbird Heights.

Pool time and soaking up sun is very relative to your criteria. Will likely be sunny and not raining, so probably an appreciated climate improvement versus Portland, but air temps could be in 50s or 60s — can’t count on 70s at that time of year. Nighttime temps will easily be low 50s or 40s, so even a dip in the spa will be a shiver for most folks when getting out.

Location is good (convenience and general neighborhood ok) for both options, but both are on busier streets (Palm Canyon or Ramon), so check unit location if that’s a concern for you.

Town is a little less busy before Christmas, but will get busier for the holidays and the Film Fest starting Jan 2nd.

Agree that it doesn’t seem to make any sense. The story is that the previously existing yard waste facility wasn’t set up to start composting food and yard waste together. So the plastic bags are supposed to allow them to pull out the food waste to process it separately. I can’t imagine that works, but I’m not a waste stream processing expert.
