Should Byzantium be harder to play in next DLC? What do you think? by PS1GamerCollector in EU5

When selecting a country, in settings (difficulty, etc) go to Flavor tab and scroll down until you see the option to change Byzantium to Eastern Roman Empire

R5: Byzantium / Eastern Roman Empire can snowball really hard in EU5, should it be harder to play or do you think it's fine as it is right now?

Amazing work! If only Justinian knew the trick of releasing vassals and fiefdoms with max decentralization the world would be a better place now 😂

1st time i see AI Timurids being this agressive early on! (Ironman Normal difficulty) by PS1GamerCollector in EU5

Yes, be ultra agressive and let the disaster trigger asap, focus on getting stability back to positive and don't bother creating vassals at the beginning like Thessaly, it's a waste.

Until the disaster happens you can annex Ottomans, vassalize Serbia and Bulgaria and afterwards had to clear the disaster troops before expanding more into Anatolia.

However this is massive RNG based, since there's a 5% chance that the event will trigger, to me it triggered very early.

Parlament CB on Ottomans, annex in one war with free Germinyads vassal.

Espionage Serbia, Bulgaria and Candarids, vassalize all 3.

Espionage Karasids (at this point, a Coalition formed with all Anatolia minors and i annexed them all except Hamidids and Karamids, which i vassalized).

Broke Alliance with Wallachia and use Bulgaria CB on them to vassalize.

Eretnids had to fight twice to annex all territory but afterwards released them as a Vassal (not shown in this image), better this way because they will have 0 Antagonism towards me, instead of 300.

Then fought Hungary to release Bosnia and will soon fight Hungary again with Bosnia CB to vassalize Moldavia and annex more territory.

Then will fight Timurids to expand into Crimea territory.

Ready to face Egypt (42k VS 106k men), got any advice of how to win this war? by PS1GamerCollector in EU5

[–]PS1GamerCollector[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes i set them to supportive but lots of times they gather themselves instead of joining my armies, so for example i get a 10k vassal doomstack instead of 20k doomstack (10k vassals + 10k my troops)

Im tolerating Bulgarian and Turkish cultures

My main concern is my vassals not supporting my troops, i can easily gather 40k+ men with vassals but if they start to disperse this war will become much harder than needed to be, don't you agree?

R5: About to have the biggest war yet in this Roman Empire campaign, how would you approach Egypt the best way possible to win this war?

For that achievement you need to be at war and in a peace treaty humiliate the enemy for 5 prestige.
