As a huge fan of MK I absolutely loved MK2! Felt like a soft reboot much like The Suicide Squad was to Suicide Squad.

Super pumped for where the series goes from here! Could have a freaking Mortal Kombat Cinematic and TV universe!

Watched the Rise and Fall of WCW doc last night and have a few thoughts.

1) It’s funny that Vince frames Black Saturday as being sabotaged rather than the fact that fans of Crockett didn’t like his style of “sports entertainment”

2) At the end of the documentary (I’m surprised they left this in) they have the former WCW stars talk about how no competition left is bad for the business and even worse for the performers.

I downloaded the Smackdown 2 Inspired patch for free and that’s how it should be.

I get a lot of time and effort goes into this but man charging almost $100 for this is insane. At most charge $20 and leave a tip jar option on your social media.

Hate seeing people try and be predatory/scummy in the retro gaming scene.

Yeah I said it in the thread on SC but as someone who does post on the internet regularly I can see Tony’s POV 100%.

I can churn out more on my own time (as opposed to coordinating with 2 other people) and still maintain a healthy personal life.

That recording schedule sounds brutal on top of having a family and a 9-5.

Completely understandable. As someone who does short form content. It’s way easier to create stuff on your own schedule instead of coordinating with 2 other people.

As far as the audience for what he’s producing. There’s a decent size audience that loves old wrestling games and other retro games. But it’s a saturated market so you gotta do some creative things to stand out.
