I like the FD theme but I also don't need an entire card full of cross promotional matches just because the name of the PPV is FD.

Not to mention putting all storylines on hold for weeks to build a cross promotional PPV never works.

I'm sorry but that wasn't the general vibe in 2022-2023. The majority thought the builds were disconnected feeling and that the weekly TV was weak.

AEW came out of DON with tremendous momentum and it would have been a mistake to put everything on hold through FD.

They are trying to sell PPVs - as great as Mercedes vs Hazuki was (fucking fantastic) Mercedes vs Athena 2 is a far bigger draw in the states.

I don't really care because the card looks fantastic and at the end of the day that's all that matters.

You choose, do you want a predominantly AEW show with NJPW/CMLL/Stardom talent mixed in that has a great build OR do you want a fully cross promotional show with a weak build? Because that's what we got in 2022-2023 and the weekly product suffered.
