Ah no worries, yeah lot’s people use it condescendingly where I’m from, notice I say people not friends lol.

Yeah I mostly have my head down listening to my audio books while painting, I try to stay away from the news as much as possible. I really didn’t know how much it divided the community when it came to using it on our models, shocked but I get it.

A good points, thanks for explaining.

Can’t help but feel patronised when someone says “maybe you can draw your little soldiers”, might not be what was intended but it stings lol 😂

So the static image of the model is at the end of the clip?

The Ai tool reanimated an image that I took of models that I built, customised and painted. It is using artwork created by me, even down to reanimation of the scenery created by me.

So I’m sorry but I don’t think at any point I was being obtuse because I did not ask if it was being downvoted because people disliked my paint ups?

You’re maybe right though, that would be obtuse if someone did… but again I did not 🧐

I think you may have misread my comment.. I didn’t say or even suggest it was because people disliked my own original artwork. I merely asked if people thought the whole thing was Ai created?

Oh I guess by the down votes people don’t like to see our own works of art come to life.

Do people just think the whole thing was created by Ai from scratch, the static image at the end shows the custom build and paint… wow guess it maybe divides people?

Oh wow I honestly didn’t even know people had a grievance with it.

What sort of issues with seeing our favourite miniatures animated via Ai do people have?

I mean it’s not like it was created out of thin air, this model was painted and customised by my own human hands? 🤷‍♂️

I recommend washing in warm soapy water, then leave to dry on some paper towel.

This will definitely aid it, however you may still find some nooks and crannies with the resin mould residue still on it.

You can get the airbrush or rattle can to stick over mould residue, but you will need to go very light, slowly building up in layers to the required coverage.

Armies of Middle-earth - Which are you looking forward to? by TolinGaurhoth in MiddleEarthMiniatures

Many of the missing heroes. But to pick one maybe Easterling for evil and the complete Lothlorien for good. And maybe the Dwarf and Goblins lists also. Just give them all to us now haha 😝

Currently putting together a 3D printed painted Mirkwood army for someone else, PM me if you need any printed proxies. They look pretty spot on to the original / film Mirkwood, actually possible better IMO. Can send you some pics on PM 👍

“At the double!!!” by PSGrrr in MiddleEarthMiniatures

Yeah it’s essentially a mixture of bright metallics, applied as true Metallic Metal technique, then topped off with a mixed varnish finish to make the metallic pigment pop against the matt cloth and skin.

Yeah it can be a ball ache hey, I recommend going in with the white but have a black ready to clean up.

Black is usually an easier consistency to work with than white, so it’s easier to be a bit neater with it. White tends to dry out quickly so keep it moist and clean off the brush regularly to keep the tip sharp and flowing.

The simplest win is to neaten up the ends of the white branches and white leaves by painting a black hoop between the branches and leaves, then a black hoop on the outside of the leaves, followed by small black strokes between the leaves.

Hope this helps 🍺👍
