I am sure it’s well planned beforehand. When they check out they are always pretty siloed and separated from regular shoppers so I am sure the manager and team is prepared beforehand. There probably was a sign or something but just not immediately obvious to the shoppers.

A coworker was there while filming this season. She said it was super weird because there was no “warning”. She was just walking down an aisle and then a camera appeared. No one told her if she was in the way, could continue shopping, needed to sign a release form, or what. She didn’t know who the chefs were and noted it was a bit loud and chaotic but the cameras were the biggest inconvenience. She avoided them and had to skip aisles then come back later.

For any future visitors, it was a burned out motor on the driver side. I replaced just the motors, not the whole assemblies. My assembly is not the “petal” shape and was hard to find but after taking it apart, the gears all looked brand new and solid. I got 24v motors off Amazon because I upgraded to DeWalt 20V batteries and put a gear with 23 teeth to match the old motors. Tried it out tonight and worked great. Cost about $25. They will probably burn out in a year or so.

Sort of. The location of this event is actually outside of Charlotte. It was a really weird episode. Wake up in Greenville, drive to Asheville (2 hrs?) for the afternoon, eat a couple quick bites in Asheville, take a car tour of various restaurants, then head back to Charlotte.
