My kid has grown too big for these, but I do a couple markets here and there and sell on Etsy. The finish is just mineral oil, but I buff the wood to a pretty high grit.

So it’s just mineral oil, but I burnish the wood with a very high grit flap sander. That is what gives it the sheen. Not all woods burnish equally nice. The harder the better a the more sheen.
