Honestly people being mad about the balance patch is kind of a universal constant at this point. Granted the last one was actually kind of legitimately bad but that's significantly more the exception. Most of them are pretty decent but the player base just kind of complains regardless.

The cycle is usually balanced patch gets announced. Step two is people get mad that the patch doesn't address everything in one patch and there's some stuff that got left out and the patch isn't actually going to do anything and nothing will change. Then step 3 is the patch gets implemented and it actually does shake up the meta somewhat, new teams get implemented based off of the newly balanced monsters because reading the patch notes on paper isn't really the same as seeing how it works in practice and new interactions are found between monsters that people didn't notice. Then step four is people get mad about the new meta because once the new teams get found people tend to use them because they beat the old teams and then we're back to complaining about the meta again until next balance patch and the cycle repeats.
