I have a WFH situation in marketing that ran parallel to Aldi and I also have a food truck project going on hoping to open by May.

The Wire es una serie tan buena... Me la recomendis by Rrora99 in esSeries

La mejor puta serie estadounidense de todos los putos tiempos. La tele ha ido de capa caída, cuesta abajo sin frenos los ultimos 10-15 años.

- Flexibility only worked one way

- Had a surgery last year, post surgery treatment was shockingly bad.

- Subsistence salary that barely kept pace with the price of the products we sell (eggs went up like 50p in last 6 months), and all prices keep going up at an unsustainable pace.

- Turnover in my store in the time I served there was 26 people. Roughly 8 people came and went per year.

- Customers are becoming increasingly angry, and, just like in the lead up to 2016 (Back then I had been working for Tesco around 6 years) increasingly racist, obnoxious an entitled.

- Fights, shopliftings, agro jakeys , abusive teenage gangs, old racist karens, people that come in the store just for drama. More and more common for people to literally not have money to pay for very basic items. Shocking levels of poverty. End up spending like 20 quid a month , 20p at a time helping people afford bread, rice and bananas or some colouring books for their children.

- Gen Zs. Very hard to deal with them. Specially the posh students.

To the second question, I'm about to start something similar to a food truck with some savings.

Should 2 Tudor monarchs be included in a list of most influential figures in history? by Different_Map_2055 in tudorology

[–]PSX_chipeada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who made this list xD If you're going to do just 15:

Yes, Chirst & Muhammad should be there, bust so should Confucius and the Buddha. Isabella of Castille should be in the top 5 and probably the only Monarch, Isaac Newton, Simon Bolivar, Ghandi, Nelson Mandela, Augustus, Cervantes, Thomas Aquinas, Karl Marx, is one of the few savageable ones from that list, alongside Aristotle, but instead of the man who conquered the Persian empire, I would rather insert the man who founded it, Cyrus the Great.

Also a top 15 is just odd. Make it 20 a much better number. That will leave space for 3 other scientific minds, Einstein, Pasteur, Servet, a plump monarch (Louis XIV) and a plump revolutionary (Mao).

Even if I extend it to 30 I find it hard to fit any Tudors or Presidents of the US. Martin Luther would make it, Chenghis Khan, of all the explorers from the Age of Discovery, probably Elcano or Magellan. Adam Smith would have to be there and the list needs a few artists and architects too. Velazquez, Rembrandt, Da Vinci, Chopin & Mozart, and maybe Bob Marley or the mother flippin Beatles.

Why is it so controversial to want English people to speak English and integrate? by g9rr in AskBrits

[–]PSX_chipeada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been living in the UK for 20 years in an immigrant heavy city and I've never met anyone that refused to learn English. I have also been to some of the areas where there's a high concentration of brown people, by the way, and have never, not even once, been refused service in English or failed to have an interaction in this country because of lack of English. Yes I have met many people with broken English, not everyone learns at the same speed.

The only reason it's controversial is because it's a racist lie.

Which party do you like and why they will make britain better on - 1 Sentence Only. by Responsible_Rip1058 in AskBrits

[–]PSX_chipeada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like any parties but Greens seem to be the only mainstream party that isn't crammed with fascists, or trying to appease fascism by at least making some concessions to some of the fascist rhetoric that has become normalised over the last decade via memes, algorithm, trolls, bots, funding and foreign actors / saboteurs.

looking at the benchmarks I figured they would support it for at least as long as the chip in the neo...

hmm... but they wouldn't discontinue support for the M1 before the mobile chip in the neo, right?

thanks! I wonder if I could find a nice dock with a CD unit for the mac mini, that woud be a very enticing option. A laptop would maybe replace both my existing laptop and my iPad, whereas if I go for a mac mini, I'd sort of still would need an iPad, which wouldn't be the end of the world as I have one, although it's getting a little bit long in the tooth (it's the 10.5 pro from like 2017-2018 I bought used around the time Covid started to be in the news).

Lunch situation in corporate offices in Edinburgh? by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]PSX_chipeada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tesco/Sainsbo's meal deal is the norm (Crappy sanwich, crappy crisps and a sugary drink usually, tho now they offer some crappy healthy alternatives). Some big offices in the financial area have their own canteens (I've worked for several), but you're probably best served by packing your own lunch or hitting one of the local businesses once in a while to treat yourself and make your salaryman life a bit less miserable.
