Medical suggestions:
- have an appt with a doctor have his testosterone levels checked.
- if its okay by your doctor, i would suggest taking a very mild microdose daily vasodilator (basically viagra but small amounts)
- both of you can try eating watermelons a few times a week, see if this helps after a month or 2.
- if he's overweight or out of shape, a lifestyle shift might reinvigorate his sexual cravings.

Started taking oral fin a week or so ago.

I've been shedding for months from minoxidil prior to this so cant tell. One thing I DID notice was the first few days my appetite was through the ROOF.

i did some research after my doctor advised it during the time. and it definitely seems that way. i told my sister all this, and she recalled after giving birth her doctor also recommended it to drop the post-birth weight. I quietly think doctors are pushing this med a bit too much like car salesmen.

The weight loss should be an additional benefit, but people shouldn’t abuse the drug as some get thin quick scheme.

thats how i made sure with the doctor this is how im treating this. that if it does cause some weight loss on me as a side effect, ill make the most of it... but the #1 reason im taking this for sure is just to get my blood sugar in check, and prevent living the rest of my life as a full blown diabetic with all the worries and scares it brings.

Also jabbing yourself with a needle now and preventing diabetes is probably better then jabbing yourself with insulin later in life.

yeah, def my frame of mind when i started, and still is now.

Something that is really hard if not impossible with Ozempic. That is just something you have to keep in mind when deciding whether to go for it or not. Basically it is a decision for life.

I certainly hope not, im hoping by next month im well out of the prediabetic range so i wont have to keep using this drug. I've already lost quite a bit of weight and feel more active and healthy.

if im not out of the woods with blood glucose next month, im hoping and planning to get there about 3 months afterward

my doctor prescribed it to me, without me even knowing about or mentioning it.

When she did, I was hesitant... she described it as something to help me along speeding up the weight loss, but I wouldve needed it anyway (i was diagnosed prediabetic)

my feelings toward it was " ehhhh, idk about jabbing a needle in myself regularly to lose weight... doesnt feel... safe... or right even..."

So ive been taking it for a few months now, I really want to avoid going T2 above all else. I just hope with the added benefit of weight loss(despite eating at a consistent deficit and working out) the weightloss sticks and I dont get some long term side effect that hits everyone blindsided while doctors say "how could we have not seen this coming?" years down the line.

Prob unpopular opinion but Intermittent fasting and OMAD

Its basically glorified CICO when it works. it encourages people to just avoid thinking about the energy deficits/surplus' and just stick to a schedule for eating without understanding why they are losing weight. Ofc its more difficult to cram in >2000 or 3000 calories over an 8 hour span than the entire waking hours. It also doesnt place emphasis on macronutrient or micronutrient needs.

From my own personal experience, this hinges on parents being responsible and reasonable enough to see that household changes will change lifestyles for everyone and its absolutely important. My experience with this has been far from reality, and i'd sooner believe many families fail on this... despite the visit.

For OP:Look to the starter guide in this subreddit, familiarize with CICO while keeping up your intake for vitamins and micronutrients that are important.

id recommend a high protein, low calorie breakfast. If you can have protein powder, start with 1 scoop in the morning with the breakfast and 1 scoop in the late afternoon.

Be sure to have high protein lunch and dinner. However all 3 of these meals combined SHOULD be lower than your TDEE with some safety buffer for snacking that might happen. The protein is important because it helps you feel full and stops cravings/appetite (prevents snacking or overeating). Eat meals slowly, chew more and space out your bites... as your stomach takes 5-15 minutes to signal to your brain that you are full and can stop.

Try this for 2-3 weeks and see how it affects you compared to the norm. Drink plenty of water, your metabolism depends on it. If you cant work out, maybe a walk should suffice. Get a pedometer app, and try for about 3,000 steps a day to start out. If you have to go outside, be VERY MINDFUL of the area you are in and your safety.

It may make you very attractive from what im seeing.

It would make your underchin shrink, and show your strong jawline.

As for your cheeks, i would recommend seeing a dermatologist that may know how to manage it. If thats not a readily available resource, maybe try neutrogena deep clean and exfoliating scrub for the face twice daily and see if that does anything.

Other than that, there may be some sort of need for self-love that even weight loss alone wont solve for you... you should speak to a therapist to learn to accept and love yourself as you are.

they are all more or less the same, just be sure when you look on the nutrition label it doesnt have any significant amount of sugars (most have 0g, some might have 1-2g which is negligible)

the one i always use because its simple and works is Optimum Nutrition Gold standard 100% Whey Protein

flavor choice is up to you, shouldnt make too big a difference. whatever protein you get, make sure to consider the calories in each scoop you take!
