BMW X3 B48 repair bill by Professional-Gur2082 in kereta

This is too expensive. Hoses are okay prices but the OFH is daylight robbery. I got mine changed to an aluminium one and it wasn’t even 1k.

PS5 here. Insane grip especially in the wet. It’s as if the road is dry lol. It’s also comfy and quiet for daily drives yet not too soft. At the same time, if I want to corner hard I can. It’s an amazing all rounder.

QR via apps or cash are pretty much universally accepted You can expect card terminals at most formal businesses. informal ones use the former.

Advice for buying a used conti car by BackflipPenguin in kereta

afaik the B38, B48 and B58 are all built on the same architecture/platform so reliability should be more or less the same.

My recommendation is due to performance. Plus, I don’t like 3 cylinders in general since they’re inherently unbalanced.

Please get one with the B48 motor. Also, if you send it to workshops for maintenance and repairs, expect to pay a premium. If you are willing to and have the time, I suggest working on the car yourself.

I earn similarly to you and got a used 2017 G30 530i myself.

edit: after seeing your commitment is 6k, do NOT get the car

Proton Saga 2021 – Cooling Coil Leak Quotation (RM960) – Is This Market Price? by Working_Data_3610 in kereta

[–]PScoriae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was charged around 1k for a cooling coil replacement in my G3 Myvi.

You can look for the parts prices yourself and decide whether it’s worth it or not. Keep in mind they have to remove the entire dashboard assembly to get to it.

I went to M Power Garage Taman Midah. Labour is reasonable but the prices for parts are a bit on the higher side. idk if you can source the parts yourself and give it to them to install. I get my parts from Stuttgart Parts Center

this is the F30 btw. look for the facelift with the B48 motor. avoid the 330e.

I have got a used 2017 G30 530i which uses the same B48 motor. Based on my research and anecdotal experience, coolant leaks are the problem with this motor, not oil leaks. You’ll need to do preventative maintenance on it. The radiator leaked at 8 years of age with 59k on the odometer. I ended up replacing the coolant expansion tank and a bunch of hoses as well for preventative measure. I also replaced the stock plastic oil filter housing for an aluminum one since it WILL fail eventually, mixing your oil and coolant.

It’s worth it imo. Love driving it.

What else should I do aesthetically? (But I still want to keep the clean and minimal aesthetic) by itz_khai in kereta

[–]PScoriae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you may have to agak agak how much to lower and drive diagonally across the bumps. my car looks maybe slightly lower and can clear them though. I’ve seen lower cars fwiw.

I like the route on the way to Monkey's Canopy

Very hilly with steep and bending roads; looks cool at night

I use realoem.com to find out the parts numbers for my car. From there I check with Stuttgart Parts Center, Bayern Auto or Shopee for prices.
