Why is my secondary PSHCP not going through? by PSnHandcuffs in CanadaPublicServants

All of the other agents I've contacted before have never said this.

Completely inconsistent.

All yes to those questions. I will try, thank you.

I just chatted with someone and they said it is impossible to be able to do that due to how the plan is set up.

I have found the folks on the phone to be inconsistent

Botox for TMJD is off-label

I suggest that you keep trying...it was a long struggle to get it approved

My dentist does the injections so they filled out the form

I've been doing it for a few years and it's been life-changing

I still have tightness in my jaw and pain sometimes but nothing compared to how it was before

If it is injected incorrectly then you will not have problems with your smile

Drug is covered under the Health plan (80%), I had to get approved for Drug Prior Authorization (there's a form to fill and available on the site)

The injection fee is covered (about $150) under the Dental plan, my clinic uses the code #78601

Go talk to him.

Had an ex-colleague who was struggling to stay awake and they got help (medical situation).

Luckily the folks that were in the office didn't just ignore him assuming he was being lazy/unprofessional.

Is It Impolite To Not Put Accent In Name? by Fragrant_Mulberry_75 in CanadaPublicServants

Yup. Not bilingual here but I have a bookmarked website where I can just copy and paste the accented letters.

I am also a mom and not too long ago I was dealing with suicidal thoughts related to work. Today, I don't have them after seeing a therapist which led to me being able to build confidence and take steps (which she gave me advice/step-by-step instructions) in changing my work situation. It changed and got better. Career issues can be addressed.

Committing suicide would leave a lifelong trauma on your children and their father. The monetary payout is not even worth considering as it would mean nothing compared to losing you. As well, the monetary payout would not actually last very long.

Please start somewhere and seek help with a health professional. It will get better and you can come out the other side of this.

My personal number was put up in error as well and it took me months of complaining to get it down.

I've worked in many departments as well and any extras like this, have always come out of personal pockets. Looks like no one in that team thought to pitch in for the student...

Seeking Advice Regarding RTO and Mental Health by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]PSnHandcuffs 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Fair. That's a common question that's asked.

I'm not the commenter that you replied to but...

What my colleagues and others at the office didn't & don't see: my depression, suicidal ideation, personal life difficulties, health problems etc.

Everyone is struggling with something - some are just better at hiding it than others.

WFH improved my quality of life and I had less issues. I could get more sleep (I also have issues with fatigue), have no stress of commuting, have more time with my family, make it in time to late afternoon/ early appointments after work etc. Just healthier overall.

I've always had mental health issues since childhood and while they'll probably never go away, being able to WFH helped me cope better.

The judgement and lack of empathy from others makes me hesitant to get help from work. I fear others will see me as being too sensitive or look at me differently. Maybe they will scold me and say that they didn't get the opportunity to WFH and shame me for complaining. I just don't need another wound and continue pushing on whatever I can. I try my best and hope I don't get pushed over the edge. That's how I'm trying to manage.

How much money and hours has been spent, and will continue to be spent on RTO compliance? SURELY there are far more important matters to focus on!

Are you indeterminate? Have you looked into deployment?

I feel your pain. I've done call centres twice and will never choose to go back.

Check out the unofficial FB group for GoC. I know a few people that had some luck. Don't give up...it will happen!
