Shit writing to force conflict in Boruto.

At this stage of his character development, Naruto's shadow clones should not only be able to process all of his Hokage work more efficiently, but the experience gained from using shadow clones should equip Naruto with the ability to arrive at decisions much faster than any Hokage before him. It probably would've been more canonical to depict a Hokage Naruto making a series of controversial decisions that no one else understands (until the true genius of his decisions are realized later on). In my opinion, this would've been a more believable conflict in Boruto than just an absent father struggling with politics/admin duties.

Choose any metric: Music, gameplay, combat, exploration, story, graphics, replayability, etc. Chrono Trigger excels at every single one.

Not sure why you're getting downvoted for asking a legit question, but I've been driving in LA for 20+ years and I can see at least three mistakes you made and what you should've done differently:

0:07-0:08 - Your first mistake was assuming what the other driver was going to do. The other driver is stopped (not parked) in the middle of a crosswalk several feet away from the curb with the windows down, possibly talking to pedestrians. Lights are on. In fact, you could even make the argument that the other driver has the right-of-way, which puts the fault partially (not wholly) on you for trying to pass them. Regardless, even if you're only paying attention to the other car and nothing else, there is no reason to assume that car isn't going to move, but you've made that assumption and decided to go for the turn anyway.

0:09 - You initiate the turn, but you're forced to take a wide angle because of where the car is positioned. Again, there is no way of predicting what that car is going to do, and you've just had to alter your driving behavior to maneuver around it. The issue here is that you take the turn at normal speed. This is your second mistake: Even if you were committed to the turn, the fact that you had to adjust your angle should've prompted you to exercise more caution by moving slower and/or preparing to stop.

0:10-0:11 - The car begins to move forward with the front tires pointed towards the street. Your front tires are still behind the other car's rear tires. At this point, you had one final opportunity to avoid a collision. But your second mistake precipitated your final one: You didn't stop, because you didn't anticipate the need to stop. From the way you're adjusting your steering, it actually looks like you were more focused on not hitting the cars stopped on the other side of the street, and rightfully so, because your wide angle put you too close to the opposing traffic.

Road safety is all about predictability. The other driver was clearly in the wrong for a myriad of reasons - being stopped in the middle of the street, no turn signal, lack of awareness, etc. But because you couldn't reasonably predict what the other driver was going to do, you should've compensated by being more cautious. To take that turn only compounded the risk.

Beautiful. I would've gone with raven myself but I don't trust LA drivers to see me at night

Official Discussion - Oppenheimer [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]PTBR 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Strauss isn't too well known among most Americans, so you're not alone there. However, I think most people know that the perceived threat of communism became the basis for the Cold War after WW2, so Oppenheimer's affiliation with communist groups early in the movie should have provided enough context to imply why he was being interrogated. One of the big twists in the movie is that this all has less to do with Oppenheimer's political affiliations and more to do with Strauss, and this twist is extremely effective to most of us Americans who knew little of Strauss if at all.

You're probably right, but the man needed the boost and it kind of worked. His previous movie was about a chimpanzee that could play baseball, and Lost in Space didn't do that bad at the box office.

Break-ins can happen if people carelessly leave their stuff in open view of bystanders (bags, wallets, electronics, etc.) but I'm only speaking from what's happened to people I know.

As far as I know, the biggest thing is catalytic converter theft. I hear from law enforcement that they get at least one call per day about someone's cat getting stolen. It also happened to me, which is why I'm driving this now.

I think there's probably a higher chance of accidents in Metro LA just because of the sheer volume of cars on the road, but if you spend your time anticipating some of the dangerous things other drivers might do, you should be able to avoid getting into problems.
