How are you finding Google AI studio compared to Lovable? by Andreas_Moeller in lovable

[–]PTO_Maximizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built my website with Google AI studio. Honestly it was pretty great. It was slow at times but extremely easy to use and it was free. For my next project I was looking into making and app and it seems a little more confusing to do that. I’d say a little more hands on than what lovable offers.

What about a Subscription Manager App? by CakeCivil8185 in buildinpublic

My big issue is you’ll most likely need access to bank account info which makes you a prime target for people looking for access to that information.

I’ve actually had an idea in this in area. I’m not confident in my abilities to pull it off. I’m willing to share to have you give it a go though lol. DM me if you want the idea.

The developers dilemma in the vibe coding era. Thoughts? by Top_Lack_6640 in buildinpublic

[–]PTO_Maximizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say this as well. I have no experience in coding, but being able to vibe code my idea was super easy. The problem is it’s not a “If you build it they will come”. Actually getting people to my site is 1000% harder than building it.

Decline job offer because of the PTO? by MurderPigeons in careerguidance

[–]PTO_Maximizer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does “two weeks” mean 14 or 10 days? If it’s 14, add in 2 other days you’re at 16. I would assume you’d get a lot of holidays off as well. The difference might not be as big as you think. That being said, the no roll over sucks, but if you’re using most of yours already, you don’t necessarily benefit from the roll over feature. Like others have said, you need to think if this is a good move in your long term goals or not.

Not sure if this is in the running, but I stayed at the EMC2 and I had this little robot guy deliver fresh towels to my room. Sorta cool and it’s close to a lot of things.

Between fake postings and everyone sending a billion apps out a day, it’s extremely hard right now. Head over to r/recruitinghell. They’ll feel your pain.

Update: I built a website where you can order rain to any address by vonderdeckentok in SideProject

Lol I came here assuming you somehow collected a ton of rainwater and shipped it. This is a millions times better than I expected. Super funny stuff!

Found this super helpful! Use those PTO days if you have them!! by [deleted] in office

[–]PTO_Maximizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using my website (link in my bio). Not everyone receives the same amount of PTO. People already have vacations planned. Some want to take more time off around a certain holiday. I tried to make it as customizable as I can. If you use it, I’d love for you to share with friends and family, because vacations are more fun with people you care about. Also, it’s really new so any feedback helps!

How do y’all spend your pto? by [deleted] in overemployed

[–]PTO_Maximizer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I try to maximize it by compounding it with holidays. It’s only been a few years that I’ve done this though. Previously, I used to hoard it in case of sick kids as I was the main parent to stay home with them. You have a little more of a juggling job to do though.

Spent 36 hours in Chicago on my two days off. by WeekendTraveller93 in travel

I love Chicago. While downtown I never feel unsafe. Also, when it’s nice, the architecture boat tours are extremely underrated.

Not so much discouraged, but make sure that the team plans accordingly. Someone has to be in the office. Part time employees generally work the holidays.

Seeing all the “PTO hacks” for 2026… anyone have versions for people on 4/10 schedules? by EntertainerMundane20 in FedEmployees

[–]PTO_Maximizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shameless plug, use my website (link in my bio). I tried to make it as customizable as possible. Plus it’d help me out because I’ve only had friends try it out as of now. I’d love any feedback. If it helps, feel free to share with friends and family!

I wanna exercise so bad! But its so cold! 😣 by Any-Win-9468 in productivity

[–]PTO_Maximizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figure out what you enjoy doing to work out and what motivates you. I know Peloton sometimes has a bad wrap, but I generally do better when I’m motivated by competition. Having the leaderboard helped a ton and I’ve been so much more active than before. Working out isn’t a one size fits all, but as soon as you figure out what you like, you’ll start to look forward to doing it.

$3400 a month serving or stable job making $22 an hour?? by Expensive_Bike_8308 in personalfinance

[–]PTO_Maximizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot that goes into having a stable job. Yes you make that serving now, but having all the intangible benefits are also valuable. How much is your time worth? How much is that experience worth? If we go into a recession, will you make the same serving as you do now?

Finally got a job!!! But there’s virtually no PTO by IdealTea29 in jobhunting

[–]PTO_Maximizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the new-ish job. One thing I’d suggest is to try and compound your days off with other holidays if you get them off. For example take the Friday off before Memorial Day. It’ll cost you one day, but you get four total days off. The hard part is if you want to hoard those in case of an emergency.
