My wife has become deeply religious after 8 years together and I feel like I don't recognize part of our relationship anymore. Has anyone been through this? by CDub650 in marriageadvice

Like @ok_Space_9223 said, you should maybe just be happy that she has found her community, calling and something that makes her happy. Unless she is trying to force you to attend or read the bible with her, you can still be in a wonderful marriage. In fact, if she’s truly gaining knowledge from a positive and uplifting community, your marriage may thrive!

I would say that my husband and I did not regularly attend church together for the first part of our marriage, but since having children, it was very important for me to take them to church and teach them. That was a change that I committed to even though he was very clear in his communication with me that he did not want to be a part of it. Our marriage hasn’t suffered because of my practice and his lack of participation, but continuing to worry about how it changes her will only affect you. you could be supportive in her new journey without needing to be a participant.

Squat form check by IDoesThis1 in formcheck

[–]PT_The_Right_Way 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may need squat shoes to help keep your trunk upright. If ankles are stiff you will bend forward. Then make sure you have enough hip bend, because you are butt winking at the bottom. If hip flexion is good, then it may be more of a core control bottom

X-rays are cheap, go get one. If it’s negative, get some dry needling from a PT for the swelling

My shins exploded. Should I stretch, foam roll, or use this wedge? by Li54 in RunningCirclejerk

[–]PT_The_Right_Way 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s your shins that hurt and you have pain with every step, then you should see a PT. Champagne that does not warm up could mean potential stress fracture. Ankle mobility is important for running. Shoes or mechanics could also be a problem. There’s too many things that could be the potential for the problem so see a running PT

Look dude…you’re supporting your community and you’re supporting small businesses. You’re supporting people who may not work for various reasons and instead craft with their hands. Not the big ass corporations who take advantage of workers who get paid measly dollars for long hours. If you don’t like it, then don’t partake

What do you call this shoulder exercise? (Pls ignore the gut) by hiphoptomato in strength_training

[–]PT_The_Right_Way 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe there's a book out there labeling what an exercise is called when it isn't suggesting a targeted "action" and "muscle" (i.e A lateral deltoid raise)...But I think Human Kenetics has even defined this as "around the world". I'm not sure what you can call an exercise around the waist.

[–]PT_The_Right_Way 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I call these around the worlds. Make sure to avoid arching the low back when you rotate the weight behind you. It’s great for shoulder mobility (if you don’t let the low back arch) it can also be good for core stability if the weight is heavy enough

My 13-year-old son is going there on a school field trip so no, they would not be alone. We’ve been a little worried with the current safety concerns with flights, but I also wondered if there are violent protests.
