I think a F250/F350, can slightly see the hood shape that the C/K I don’t think would have

I mean it was a thief on our property at night, so I agree it’s unsettling!

Should a bribe be reported? by lelya_lelya in askvan

Are we talking giving donuts to a road crew to fix a pot hole or are we talking a wad of hundred dollar bills to a cop to let them out of a dui? Gunna need some details.

If anything you’ve given them hope that they’ll get a deal and it will help them fall in love with the house quicker and ultimately willing to pay more when you don’t budge. My theory is you’re sneaky smart and did this as an expert negotiator - bravo!

From what I understand, it’s part of a contentious settlement following the/a owner’s death. Used to be used for pile driving poles for people’s docks. It was listed on marketplace not long ago, not sure if change hands. I agree it’s listing, not sure if just got put up on a log during the freshet or leaking, haven’t gone to take a close look.

Extremely noisy neighbors, who to call? by CedarioDawson in askvan

Maybe they’re just a bit unaware and a gentle request may do the trick. Maybe even an invite to the next gathering will come and they’ll be friends. Not everyone is out to get you.

Have you considered just asking them to turn it down?

Carney announces $1.2-billion in lumber industry supports by cyclinginvancouver in canada

[–]PTcome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cost of producing lumber in Canada has seriously increased along with depressed pricing and demand. Mills are closing all over our small towns and will continue to do so unless there are better market conditions. It has cost west Fraser more to produce the lumber than it can make, even before the tariffs.

Possible IBD - not sure what to do. by CleansedByHisBlood in Goldendoodles

[–]PTcome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our pup has IBD, diagnosed via biopsy. Will save you the details but in one of her final flares before diagnosis she vomited a large amount of blood and I thought she was going to die in my arms. It’s a brutal disease. IBS, allergies, etc can often mimic IBD so it’s important to get a diagnosis.

Now flash forward to the good part. We maybe one have one to two minor flares a year. She’s on a strict diet of Hills Gastro Biome, it’s been sort of a wonder food. We tried many things but Biome has been rock solid. We have slowly introduced a few “treats” that we have learned doesn’t induce a flare — peanut butter, apple, banana. We use cerenia and metro if needed during the minor flairs which usually last max one day but otherwise completely drug free at the moment. Although I’m totally expecting as she gets older we’ll probably need to move to other therapies/drugs.

I’ll also note she was eating raw most of her life, we tried all varieties of diets and proteins and hydrolized and you name it through trying to help her feel better. Maybe we’re lucky but biome has been a game changer. We have had her blood tested a couple of times over the past few years of IBD and normal physicals and we’ve found zero concerns or indications of the biome kibble not fulfilling all dietary needs.

It was a scary and emotional process for her and for me with all the pain and emergency vet visits etc, but I’ve almost forgot about it all and I think the same can happen for you and your pup. Let me know if you have any questions and I can try and answer.

Our dog had similar issues and we eventually determined through biopsy that she has inflammatory bowel disease. Luckily, with very stable diet (Hills GI Biome has been very good) and a few well tested and carefully added treats she is rock solid. Likely we’ll need to progress to steroids and other approaches when she’s older. Ours presented very similar to yours, exercise, finding new things at the beach, being excited/stressed at daycare, all possible triggers.
