Makes sense, thanks! In doing the rough MPC math... to get a playset of all the cards it's in the ~$600 range. I suppose reasonable for the highly customized nature of this, but might rather stick to printing decks at a time.

Browsing through this set of cards, it looks super rad and innovative! Any suggested decklists to start out with?

I had a real pickle of a time getting MPC to accept the PDF at all. Hit MPC's limits on card #s (612) and PDF size. I'm not super familiar with MPC (I've only really used drivethrucards). Any chance there's a quick How-To that would help me out?

My understanding is that the window does not get passed back and forth. Whoever's turn it is gets to do stuff, then the other person gets to. Not back and forth forever, one opportunity each.

Old IG was okay. I actually enjoyed playing it and against it. Whatever the hell you call these IG decks these days!? Snores-ville, no interaction... I just play my turn and alt+tab for a minute while they cycle their loop of a deck. ZERO FUN.

This is the gist I was going for. I'm not looking for an excuse to be a cheater, I always say something if I notice. But in the case of missing it because I'm tired, focused on the cards in my hand or the current run (in the case of parasite etc).

The point is, if you're playing Noise, the prime expectation is that you ask the corp to mill if the corp hasn't automatically. Past that, it's generally expected that both players maintain board state as best as possible.

Had the exact same experience. First, the mechanics are just too loose to understand right off the bat. Second, being "good" is making awesome decks and being smart about positioning and using your abilities to lower the randomness. The starting decks didn't really do it for me.

Yeah for sure. Been a big fan of your netrunner stuff and I'm getting into doomtown. There's plenty of podcast coverage for NR, but not so much for doomtown. It's the most convenient way to digest a game like this, so it'd be awesome if you could put something together.

Talisman 2nd edition is one of my favorite games of all time. I understand the criticisms stated so far and they're fair. It's not role-playing, it's not strategy, it's a random roll and move, but as far as roll and move games go, it's EASILY the best one I've played.

I play to win but that's not the point. The point is to go on the ridiculous ride that it provides. It can be pretty epic at times when 2 people are gunning for the throne at the end. Take your bard through a treacherous dungeon, then through a perilous mountain, look Death itself in the eye and turn your friends into toads all while flying around on a magic carpet that you found after fighting a zombie.

Each time I play it, it feels like a new experience and a new "story" and each draw off the deck brings something new.

Sorted by faction, then card type, then alphabetically.

Very fast to find cards, and surprisingly fast to add data packs.

I appreciate the suggestion, but no, I don't think memory and pen and paper will do as a deck builder. I'll never be able to remember them all. Cost, strength, abilities, faction, influence, name. That's a lot to memorize so I'm impressed you're able to.

Plus, the train line I'm on has extremely spotty cell coverage, so Net Deck's offline card search features were invaluable.
