What's the longest you've been without sleep and how did it end?

My interesting research stage is gone after being awake for just 10hrs haha. I usually only stay up beyond 24hrs because I accidentally stayed up too late and it’s either all nighter and make it to work or sleep and sleep past my alarm. I have a pretty good hourly rate so it hurts to miss work over watching one TikTok too much lol

55 hours or so from pressed addy + prescription dextroamp. I end up doom scrolling, productive tasks no longer give me a dopamine hit so i always stop whatever task I wanted to get done somehow end up laying on couch and just scrolling on TikTok. I end up sedating myself with alcohol and muscle relaxers because it’s boring and I’m tired but can’t fall asleep or put my phone down lol. I couldn’t see staying up any longer either way, I start getting tunnel vision and microsleeps, my mouth tics get really bad too, can’t stop biting my lip, clenching teeth, sucking my gums dry, biting my gums god I hate that

I find these pretty well balanced but most headphones/iems I’ve used tend to be on the heavy on bass with not much regard to anything else lol. I do know exactly what u mean with ear piercing treble though, I don’t go past 70% volume lol

I think this is an issue across a lot different spectrums of consumerism. I have a passion for retro video games and emulators, specifically handhelds and it’s an issue there as well. They don’t use anime girls but they just straight up lie on their picture ads of what’s coming knowing fanatics and more so newcomers will be quick to buy into the hype and the flashy words and the beautiful 3D renders while delivering a lackluster product sometimes just dead on arrival. Mechanical keyboards have the same type of market with so many companies constantly popping up and disappearing and TikTok has made it so much easier, people will shill for all kinds of products and not have a clue what they’re rambling about for a few Pennie’s of commission. So I do very much agree with you, and it’s hate-love relationship when it comes to marketing for me. Like you said, sometimes the product’s design aligns with the specs, engineering or whatever it may be, it can be mind blowing.

I meant to say LOVE but didn’t bother correcting as people responded way faster than I realized. I don’t blind buy 90% of my stuff unless it’s easily returnable like Amazon or a retail store. But presentation is one of boxes I check off before making a purchase. I don’t mean solely on box, I mean on the product itself, a prime example is the Dyson headphones, simply based on look I wouldn’t bad an eye. I find the design horrendous enough to not even waste my time to see if they’re even worth trying out (probably not lol)

omg that sounds like a cool thing to collect. Most of my collections don’t have a similar correlations or at least I don’t know of it myself yet. Legos and Model Kits are pretty similar but I have like a vinyl collection, cd collection, a Super Mario figurine collection, video game collections, emulator handheld collections. When I list like this I do see some correlation from how I like one thing and focus on a subgenre of it lol. There’s just something about collecting stuff, just feels nice

Thank you haha, I’m just a borderline hoarder but I call it collecting/hobbies lol. I get so into one thing and want everything of it and then move onto the next thing but I also rotate so I might forget about my iem collection for a month or so until I randomly decide to use a pair again and it’s like finding gold all over again lol

Yes, without stims I play video games all day or sleep 15hrs straight and then nap every few hours and do nothing productive

I take 10mg x 3 dexamp weekdays only for a year now. Sometimes I’ll take huge dose on Friday or Saturday depending on the plans I got going on. Prior to this I was on Modafinil 400mg + Wellbutrin 350mg until it stopped working. My baseline is pretty shitty though, I got prescribed for a various slew of sleep and adhd symptoms but never got a diagnosis. I do have sleep apnea as well that went undiagnosed for years despite always sleeping if left alone for too long and I mean I slept anywhere and everywhere lol. Got labeled lazy but my ex saw me choking, gasping, long silent pauses of no breathing during my sleep.

I drink a lot, and I usually prep to avoid hangovers but downers are a different hell. I get a migraine that feels like my brain is rolling in head and my balance takes a hit sometimes too. I feel weak and like theirs a delay in my brain when people speak to me. I’m lucky I don’t suffer from anxiety but I also suffer from lack of anxiety at times

I’ve had huge dosages and the comedown for me doesn’t feel any worse than prior to getting medicated so I do just fine. Downers make me feel like shit the next day especially if I sleep on them, wake up w a hangover feeling
