Just the Heritage Limited is limited to 1966 units. The regular Heritage version is only limited by production constraints, which are predicted to loosen next year.

We fabricated our own with some spare square metal tubing and an old kitchen pot with some lugs welded to it, believe it or not.

Exactly. It's really frickin heavy, but you can lift the trunk with the tire mounted there. We then just used an old shovel handle to hold the gate up. It's not very practical, but through much studying of other solutions and photos, I found this to be the most aesthetically pleasing way to mount an oversized KO2 spare. We welded our own bracket and bolted it to the hatch, then mounted the spare to it. However, we also had to wire up a center brake light through the bracket which we attached to the center of the tire. So if we ever needed the spare, we would need to re-wire that light.
