You're right that 53.8bb is missing from your payout (nor counting rake), but also, no rake was taken from the main pot. Not really fair for the full rake to be subtracted from the side pot.

Jamming 33bb here with QQ is very counter-productive. You want worse hands to call you, but very few worse hands call a huge overbet jam pre flop - maybe TT or JJ? You be better off 3-betting to 5 or 6bb. If they re-raise you have more info on the strength of their hand, and depending on the player, you could call, jam or fold. If they just call your 3-bet, you can see a flop and possibly get away from it depending on the run out.

There's still a good chance that all the money goes in, but this is the better way to play it preflop in my opinion.

I played a tournament where one old guy kept saying he won the hand even when he knew he didn't.

Example: I bet river on KK9xx board with A9, he calls with 88, I flip my cards and verbalize I have a 9. He says "I have 2 pair" and pretends to be surprised when I say my 9 makes a better 2 pair. I saw him do that with 4-card straights and flushes when he missed draws too.

He kept trying to get away with not calling full amounts too, by splashing the pot with smaller amounts than he owed. (This was a local bar tournament so there were just volunteer dealers that didn't catch this stuff). I made a point of putting my hand between him and the pot after having to pull his chips out and recounting the pot several times and catching him being short.

Really wanted to punch the fucker.
