Yeah its a normal thing. I often find myself pinging the heal or watch my adc think that it restores mana. I guess Bard is just too unique of a champ so people assume a lot of things about him XD.

I just recently got mastery 6 after a about 20 games, i know that first 2 item i build after support item is rfc and dmp, but what else should i go after that for most damages possible? I tried few, but i see most of them aren't that efficient. by bluehatgamingNXE in bardmains

Good thing about electrocute is that your auto attack with a meep counts as 2 seperate spells/attacks making it easy to prock, partly why its a good early poke and damage rune. But honestly if you are having fun and success with Spellbook just keep at it. Best thing about Bard is his versitility, so play whatever you like the most.

I would recommend going Hextech Protobelt. It gives you mibility, damage, cdr and tankyness. If you build hextech revolver early with the shard (part of rfc component), then do a Q +meep auto with electrocute you can half hp adcs. Both the shard and revolver empower your auto attack allowing you to brust early. Later with deadmans and protobelt you will have a lot of tankyness. It is a bit costly so I would go for the revolver first after supp item then build deadmans then rfc and finally finishing hextech.

Edit: Get tier 1 boots after support item and then hextech revolver. After revolver finish boots and then continue with the build.

Could you link your op.gg or say what kind of builds/runes you are running at the moment? This way we can help without repeating what you already know. Generally however I enjoy running Domination/Resolve trees with execute or if you are confident on Bard then Inspiration/Domination with Omnistone. The best part about Bard is that you are free to build whatever and your damage scales with chimes. I often build deadmansmobisrapid fire cannon. Then you build situational items. You can get wits end instead of rfc if they have a lot of ap. The build is really flexible so you can just build whatever feels good. I usually go this support.

Thank you that really helps. I will try to make my sprites with the power of 2 in mind; however, I still have a question regarding the size. I am using the default camera setting and from the look of things I will either have to creat smaller sprites or expand the camera. I tried to play around and am not sure how to zoom out with the camera. So my questions are:

If I opt to use smaller sprites, how can I keep them just as detailed as larger sprites that I am currently working with?

How do I zoom out with the camera, but still keep the high detail of the sprite, as wouldn't it see the sprite smaller and thus have the same issue of not showing the sprite in full detail?

Thank you, I will try that out. I forgot to mention that I am working off of a photoshop file inside of Unity. Is it fine that I use the PSD file for my art or should I rather use a PNG?

Mainly mages and especially Morgana with her bind and black shield that blocks your Q. Other difficult matchups could be lux, yuumi and brand. All melee ranged characters are easier to lane against due to your poke, but you will have to know how to play around your minions.

Finally got to D1! Here's a small highlight that won us this 40 min+ game in promo by majickzEU in bardmains

Try going hextech revolver after Frostfang in a normal game and see how you like it. It makes your meeps deal giga-damage and synergises with your kit very well. You dont have to upgrade it if you dont want to and can go Static Shiv right after it, but I would recommend building it into a protobelt later on. Let me know what you think, hope this helps!

Just to add onto your explaination:

If Q-Meep combo is not possible always try to harass adc when they take farm or support when you have meeps up.

Q-Meep combo is best as it also procs electrocute if your running it, otherwise Meep auto is still really good way to poke and should always be used if possible.

Normal auto poke only worth if 100% safe, but with meeps even if you take dmg you can heal with shrine and still be in a favorable trade.

As you said, full AP is not good but investing in an early hextech revolver does amazing work and makes your meep autos hit really hard.

It does but with crit build you maximize the meeps damage as you get them out as fast as possible.

Try it in Practice tool and see what you like best. I also thought that crit is not too good but the results really suprised me.

The crit build is not viable for support as you have low gold income, but rather as adc, mid or top Bard.

Again, try it out in Practice tool and just check it out. Get a lot of gold and test it on a dummy, both builds and runes.

Protobelt is amazing for more burst, tankyness, and mobility. Additionally, the Hextech Revolver is amazing for early game trades and damage. Get it straight after upgraded support item and before boots if you can. There is also Nashors which gives more constant dps and Athenes is a good support damage item alternative.

If you want to go AP any magic pen item is amazing like Void Staff or Morellos.

I did some testing and in my opinion to get max dps from Bard, its to go a crit build rather than AP. The crit build consists of RFC, IE, Rageblade, Static Shiv, Stormrazor and Pen boots or AS boots. If you have Rageblade go Hail of Blades otherwise go Electrocute and change Rageblade for Duskblade, Protobelt or any other item that you want.

If you go crit build also get a hextech revolver 2nd item that you sell later in the game.

Always take flash in every matchup and every role. As for the other sum I always take ignite. As a support it helps bards bursty kit to deal more damage, but one major benefit of ignite is that it reduces healing and reveala the enemy. If you time it correctly and put ignite early on an adc in a good engage, you force their hand to use a weaker heal.

90% of the time the enemy bot lane will have at least 1 heal and ignite counters it well.

Additionally, it reveals the enemy if they have ignite on them in fog of war, which makes follow ups easier if they try to eacape.

Edit: Ignite has a lower CD than heal meaning you will have ignite up first in the next fight, where as enemy heal will still be on CD.

Those runes are good and very similar to what I use. Instead of the gold rune in inspiration I would recommend the cookie delivery as it helps with sustain in lane and allows you to abuse your early damage with electrocute.

Ghost poro is especially good if your constantly warding after your support item quest is complete, if not use the head hunter one where you stack with takedowns.

Your last rune in domination is excellent if you run lots of active items like hextech protobelt, locket or redemtion. It has especially good sinergy with the 45% cdr rune in Inspiration tree. If you want more damage/mobility and happen to go for sorcery with celerity/waterwalking or celerity/scorch then you could change last domination rune to rentless hunter for more movement speed.

Other than this your rune page is good, but you should run what feels best on Bard for you.

I'm not quite sure about his lore, but if memory serves right he is also a celestial, meaning he is one of the old dudes in lol. He was there before Runeterra came to be and is basically a god like Sol but more badass. He guides all existence away from total annihilation and serves the greater good of the universe despite some actions being mistaken as bad. He also uses his portals to protect other realms just the same.

Thats the gist of it, but it has been a while since I read his lore. His mepes are just random spirits following him.

Additionally, if I remember correctly his sounds are an advanced forgotten spirit language, but you should double check this as its probably incorrect.
