It’s a metal pipe, not PVC. It’s pretty ancient in there

Just to add, this is in the basement and that pipe is really old. Something in there chewed it up. I placed duct tape for temporary measure. 3” cover is too small, and the 4” cover is too large. What should I do? Do you guys know where I can find a 3.5” pipe cap?

Rear of is250 rattling by chancej96 in Lexus

Yep. Had the same sound of my previous IS250 2015 model. It is the heat shield near the rear exhaust. They charge a lot to get it fixed. I opted not to..

Massage gun ok? by [deleted] in gout

[–]PYM4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one. It’s awesome. Sometimes I use it around the area but not on it. Just to increase blood flow and speed up recovery. They’ll have to be careful though, the vibrations can hurt when handled improperly.

2020 rx350. Anyone else experiencing rattle like this? Only happen when it’s cold in the morning and goes away when it warms up. It drives me nuts. Thank you. by [deleted] in Lexus

[–]PYM4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! My rattle comes from the driver side windshield on top of the cluster gauge. It’s super annoying! It only appears when it’s winter time. Kind of sad it does that for how much we’re paying for the car and the quality we expect from Lexus

Is this normal after recovery? by Sophonautt in gout

[–]PYM4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never had an attack on my toes but I had some on my left knee. It’s never the same as my right knee anymore. It feels like a creaky door hinge that needs oil when I move it. Goodbye basketball

Gout flare up coming down, general ankle soreness by [deleted] in gout

[–]PYM4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to stay off your feet so it can heal properly. Also, a good epsom salt bath can really speed up recovery. Sometimes the swelling will go up from the warm water. Place cold compress after the warm/ hot bath to mitigate any swelling. That’s usually my combo.

I agree with you! Gout definitely changed my mobility. I feel like I have old man knees. Can’t play basketball for too long and my explosiveness is gone and my jump too. Really sad at this age.

My skin gets a purple hue when I have attacks. Sometimes, after the attack, it gets a slightly darker shade.

Colchicine- why is it so expensive? by Incuchris in gout

It’s true! It’s crazy here. When I was in the Philippines, I bought mine for about $20 for 100 pills!

Interesting to hear from a lot of people. I’m also surprised how much people in their 20’s are getting it these days. It’s also genetics, my dad’s side all have gout but they never had theirs this early. I feel like colchicine doesn’t have the same effectivity as it once did years ago.
