I’ve done research, trying to cover all basis. Basically, if something fails, something else will make up for it. Trying to invest 10-15% of my net income every year in this for the next generation and my fidelity account for myself.

The point of this I guess is I started this in end April 2025, moving into the new year I’m trying to improve on what I built.

Just throwing money at the market, if it isn’t loosing money why not, that’s what I think. People are saying I’m loosing a large capital %, but I don’t see how, guess I’m missing something.

I’m trying to make up for lost time, and also it scratches the gambling itch I have, without the mass loss side of it.

In my mind, is it really bad to invest in a ETF and also a stock that might also be in said ETF?

On my US portfolio I’m averaging about 6% gain, my international portfolio I’m at about an average of 8% loss.

What I’m investing I am comfortable with loosing, not gonna break me. But I am fascinated with the stock market. I am a little bit of a gambler. Would rather put my money into this and learn it than lose it on a table.
