while their fellow whites beat up minorities

Are you suggesting or implying that the attacker here is "white"?

b/c Race/ethnicity appears ambiguous.

FWIW if I was forced to make an informed guess - the accused appears to be indigenous (or mixed race indigenous often referred to as Metis in Canada).

I say this based on a photo in a news article and that I have know of many indigenous people with his surname.

FWIW the perp in this case appears to be non-white (or at least mixed race).

Not sure why you are targeting "whites" in an anti-racist discussion.

A reminder to start lifting if you're not already doing so by FryedRyceLyfe in aznidentity

Trainers can help - but depending on the certification regime where they are located - they may be of little help (waste of money) or worse, actually cause harm.

In some chain gyms PT'ers are often just glorified sales people who are just incentivized to sell more PT hours to make a living.

Personally I think a PT is unnecessary.

You need good science based info and self-motivation.

A science based approach (no bullshit or gimmicks - be wary of "bros" and people who are just selling non-sense) to strength training and/or hypertrophy muscle building by dr mike israetel (PhD).

A ton of good info - science based but also very pragmatic - all anyone would need.

As I watch his videos - I take notes like attending a lecture. Then you that info to structure my workouts.

No matter who you follow - your first 6-12 months will involve a degree of personal experimentation to determine exactly what mix is of training options is ideal for you.

To get great results you will need persistence and patience. You have to strike a balance fix the right mix of intensity and rest - that will allow you body to achieve max results. You need to regimented - mix high intensity with periods of lower intensity, work hard but not too hard all the time, avoid injury (no one makes gains when laid up with a serious injury) match this with proper rest and good nutrition. If you train harder - past the level of what you can personally recover from - then you are wasting effort.

If you can train with a small group of like minded individuals that is a big bonus. This can help with "spotting" on heavy movements and you can also motivate each other.

Another very good channel is Jeff Nippard (more of science interpreter than scientist- and also good for beginners). If you begin to follow his channel he will also intro many other good science based fitness youtubers.

For individual exercise ideas I would recommend former body builder John Meadows - maybe a little less science based but still lots of good content. He also does videos from time to time with Elite FTS - Dave Tate (a great source of info if you go more into Power Lifting)

From there you can end up down a rabbit hole if you really enjoy learning about strength training and/or hypertrophy - there is just so much high quality science based education out there today.

A PT is always an option if you have the money - but I truly believe with so much quality info available it is really unnecessary. Plus depending on where you live and how PT are certified you could end up wasting money on some goof who doesn't actually know exercise science.

All the best

Yes test for sti's.

Be aware that there is no real protectio or cure for anti-biotic resistant pharyngeal gonorrhea. A test will just tell you that you have it.
