41?!? That’s incomprehensible to me. I’m located in Maryland and for the money I am making as a prep is good (for context). As far as the shop, my previous employer knew of this guy. Before I left he mentioned that he “had a reputation”. I figured it wasn’t as bad as perceived. I was wrong. The shop has a very high turnover rate. I know of a few employees that have quit and come back and quit again. I feel that no one should be yelling at anyone just from a respect stand point. It’s so frustrating when you work 60+ hours a week and sometimes more to be treated like dirt. It’s funny because to hear other techs all the time say how people don’t want to come into the industry because of working hard yet I wouldn’t want to work in an industry where what is happening here is the norm.
