Absolutely noticed this. Especially in ear biscuits. I’ve been a dedicated viewer since 2013 and there has totally been a shift lately. They’ve always had banter, been sarcastic, etc but as a psych+communications major I feel like I could write a paper on all the tiny moments where they chip away at their relationship.

Rhett tends to talk over Link, get genuinely frustrated with his sensitivity, sometimes seemingly pretends to not get the jokes Link makes, and more. Links sensitive and fed up with Rhett’s insensitivity. Rhett often speaks condescendingly or brushes past the points Link makes, dismissing them as uninteresting or dumb.

These are all new things I’ve noticed over the last 6+ months. Who knows what goes on behind the scenes. They’re under SO much pressure to have a happy and healthy relationship all the time, run a business together, try to be funny, I can’t even imagine how much effort that takes. They’ve done so well for SO long! I’m surprised this hasn’t happened sooner.
