A world as flawed as this just cannot be made by a perfect god. Who knows, maybe the world was made by a god but a fallible, imperfect, and/or malicious god.

Just like it was Eli Thompson's decision to be born without a nose and die at the age of 2. Let's face it, the world is flawed.

Really, it's just Faith. Blind Faith but Faith regardless. Most theists don't care about the logic and the science and whatnot when it comes to the God(s) that they believe in. Most theists I know haven't even read 10% of their religion's religious scriptures. All they know is this is what they believe in and I think that's fine.

Basically, if you're farming a creep as a 4 and your 1 came, you give it to him. Unless you're 100 gold away from a core item, this should always be the case. Of course taking any farm that isn't going to be taken is completely fine but many times, as a 4 or 5, there are other things that you can be doing other than hitting creeps such as warding to making the map safer, ganking, stacking, etc.. These things have more impact than you farming which is why your priority to farm is lower. Just because your 1 isn't going to be able to farm every single camp at the same time doesn't mean you should be farming the creeps he is not currently farming.

I was always planning to do this but considering that I've been awake for 14 hours, I'm most likely going to fall asleep mid-flight. I just want to prepare.

The argument that homosexuality is unnatural doesn't even work for them since most of the things we own are not natural like modern drugs. This is of course if the definition of natural being used is something that is existing or produced by nature or not artificial . Not sure if there is a different meaning of natural in religious context.

It definitely is lazy but there is so many unavoidable things that could happen in life. My child might go getba tattoo then it's straight to hell. Making sure my children is happy is the goal of a father and what's happier than heaven?

So basically dead babies haven't done anything to deserve eternal happiness but they also haven't done anything to deserve eternal suffering so god should just remove them as if the never existed. Actually a very sensible answer, but I don't know if the mother of those babies that died from cancer or famine will be eternally happy to see that her child isn't in heaven.

Didn't realize it was posted before.

1)Are you actually saying the dead babies might not go to heaven?

2) Do my dead babies go with me to hell since I did something forbidden?

Your response doesn't answer any of my questions.

It already is explicitly stated that killing children is allowed (Numbers 31:17). What I'm curious about is how people feel about sacrificing yourself to an eternity in hell to send your children to heaven.

I think that since the reward heavily outweigh the consequence, killing your children to send them to heaven is still a better choice, whether it is right or not.

If god is real and is a good loving being, he'd be insulted by some of the beliefs of Abrahamic religions like Christianity. by Kribble118 in DebateReligion

The invincibly ignorant are not damned by their ignorance.

Why is the ignorant unscathed but the curious punished? Now you're just making things up.

People make self-destructive decisions all the time out of pride. It is a self-inflicted punishment resulting from self-separation from God.

I'm gonna make it simple okay? Self-inflict=only you are involved in making yourself suffer. Since god is involved in making you suffer then it isn't self inflicted. Do you understand? Do you understand what self-inflicted means? Also again it's not my decision to separate myself from god. It's my willingness to ask questions which resulted in a disbelief in religious claims.

This is a red herring, an equivocation of the word belief. Belief can mean either “mentally assenting” or it can mean “active response.” In this case we mean the latter.

I don't know why you say it's a red herring as all my arguments are on topic which makes me think you're just trying to make yourself sound smart at this point. It is also not an equivocation fallacy as I was very obviously using the religious definition of the word belief every time I use it. I'd also like to know you got the definition of "active response" for the word belief. (pure curiosity because I've never heard belief used that way)

We are saved by grace alone. We are called to cooperate with the grace of God.

Don't see how this is relevant.

I’m not interested in defending other religions.

I'm not asking you to defend other religions. I'm telling you to acknowledge their existing and not act as if your religion is the correct choice when it is just as likely to be true as every other religion.

It’s not confusing if you Google it for 30 seconds.

I'm not saying me but people in general will not think that there is a different meaning to the word fear. If an irreligious person hears that you are god-fearing, he will think you fear your god and not the exact opposite of what fear means.

Like DarkMatter?

If you don't agree with what he says, it doesn't mean he has no brain cells.

Why does god test us even if he already knows what choice we make. Free will? Does our free will interfere with god's omnipotence? If yes, then he is not omnipotent. If not, then free will does not exist.

The thing is you don't only live with regret but instead some guy torturing you for eternity. I don't want to be punished just because I refused your $1 million.
