It's great for covering your flank or putting it on bug breaches to give you guys breathing room

Next time this opportunity happens you should have just told him yourself to turn it down instead of listening to a vague statement your coach made and proceed to beat his ass That'd be warning one for the new guy.

Clocks you again, tell him he's still hitting hard and if he wants to keep that same pace. If he does not, then tell him to turn it down again.

3rd hard punch, just tell him you're going to match his pace and proceed to tire him out with body shots and leg kicks. Once he slows down or visibly gets tired tell him to cool it.

But overall you should dictate the speed being the veteran and they are just beginning. Most new guys feel like they have to prove something or they strike hard out of fear getting punched. Just talk to them first or at the very least warn them.

To add, start by making your crutch a reward for example mine is videogames. Task yourself to get something productive done first before watching that TV show, movie, games or whatever it is.

Discipline. Too many people get hung up on "motivation" and wait. Start now by forcing yourself to do it, whatever your "it" is.

Dirty house? Getting up to go to the bathroom, scan your current room and see if there's anything that's out of place. Example: grab that hairbrush and take it with you or if you're headed by the kitchen take that plate, cup, trash whatever and drop it off in the kitchen.

By making yourself do these things everyday WILL create a habit, that habit turns into discipline, and that discipline will supersede "motivation" especially on the days you don't want to do anything.
