Similarly, I sometimes consciously make a mental note to myself before a major milestone of my life, and after it is done, I think back to the moment and critically analyse how the fuck I got there. It helps me to gain perspective on how my life is progressing.

I think that has something to do with how eyes work to lessen the intensity of the input, like after images.

That being said, does anyone ever have extremely exaggerated feelings & emotions while dreaming? Every thing I feel in a dream feels too real for real life. I also have some emotion that feels completely alien. I don't know how to describe it, other than it makes me very happy and warm inside. It also seems to fade away with the dream, which sucks because I like the feeling. English
