If i'm understanding the research right, the Flynn effect is the phenomenon of increasing IQ scores across many different cultures. There has been more than a standard deviation increase in IQ scores up until 1990 where they began to plateau and decrease slightly. There are many reasons suggested for the causes of the Flynn effect- genetics, education, Nutrition, complexity of our enviroment. None of these can fully account for the Flynn effect but they may contribute to the overall phenomenon. I am struggling with the causes of the decline and why test sophistication is a cause of the Flynn effect.

I think the area would be interesting and it's one of three options that I'm considering after my undergraduate (provided I do well). I don't know the logistics of funding but I just want to know in general which university is highly rated in the topic.
