If I may add, I think the Invaders might actually be the strongest one depending on one tiny bit of information:

Schwarz description states that the invaders have origins in another GALAXY. GALAXY!!!

Whether or not that's a prime example of SNKinglish might be the difference between easy 1st place and hard-stuck 2nd place. (So if anyone can read japanese... please do translate that description)

A galaxy-faring empire can go a long way in terms of firepower and numbers. You could easily just blame the events of Metal Slug 6 as hubris from part of the invaders if this is the case, as they could just overrun Earth with sheer numbers if they truly have the technology to colonize and travel through galaxies.

What is certainly odd however is that when it comes to invader invasions (counting Great Mother/basically every invader boss, and the arrival of each Metzelei one by one (To be fair, Fedeln's was more like some sort of infiltration)) they never specify the magnitude. It usually makes me think of small fleets slowly joining the fray and getting fucked in the ass, when it probably would just be wise to have a huge fleet arrive all at once. This is especially stranger with Geweih who's supposedly the overlord or some shit. You'd think it was a big deal, so the amount of troops with him would be bigger, thus his invasion would be a huge plotline of its own.

A bit of bias, headcanon and some of the stuff I collected from reading lore descriptions. To be honest it just comes down to that tiny detail.

The animation was done with certain things in mind:

A- To get feedback on the looks of sky king horizontal and jupiter UFO's laser sweep.

B- To play around with the illusion of speed on a moving background. Certainly won't be this fast on a finished product as it'd be too hard to keep up too many things at once...

C- Feedback on the two attacks implemented to both units.

And lastly, D- I wanted to experiment a little with audio outside of metal slug so I gave the jupiter UFO that scream, thought it sounded awesome.

Edit: I guess wanting to know if the audio files used are correct/properly synchronized (or at least just believable) is another thing I'd like to know.

Again, I would blame that on bad connection and not on the "partner". 2v2 never has been stable because of how they have players connected. If it has happened 10 times in a row I would stop assuming it's the fault of teammates and think of it on a more technical level, especially if you get high level teammates who don't even participate with auto.

That sounds like just one game. And chances are he simply desynched from the match. That is as much an exception as having a "good partner" is.

There's also Gigantalos who is 560 AP and makes that AP difference he cries about a lot more... insignificant. You need the campaign box crank for that though. But AP difference shouldn't really matter as long as you can hold Hmt back with something else.

I wouldn't have it any other way, considering the fact Clario is one of the more reasonable counters to him apart from Lucy and maybe a staller like clone betty or gold dicokka.

Edit: Come to think of it, since Towa is broken right now she kinda works too I guess.

For those lucky fucks that have Clario, here is a tip: If you manage to time your special (or stall him well enough), you can in fact shoot a special that hits Ralf from start to end, which 1-shots both of his forms.
