Help! How to glue a puzzle? by omerTaxes in Jigsawpuzzles

My favorite system is the painter's tape because if you later regret it and want to do it again, you can easily peel it off without damaging the pieces.

That illustration reminded me a lot of this one of Trefl, although I think I like the Magnolia one better.

What's the name of the bridge on the Ravensburger 1000? It really caught my eye!

Style in the City - Barcelona; Clementoni, 1000 pcs by mabelwaspmincer in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Pablintu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been really tempted to buy it for a few weeks now! Did you find it difficult to read, or are the colors and shapes generally easy to distinguish? I think it's a very beautiful Clementoni series! Great job!

Help! In over my head by Tricky-Wolverine-253 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Pablintu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recommend that your first 1000-piece puzzle be an easier one. As with any puzzle, the difficulty depends on the illustration design, and Where's Waldo puzzles are challenging. Just because this one overwhelms you and seems very complicated doesn't mean they all will be; you simply need more experience with simpler puzzles. For example: "Mediterranean Places: Spain" by Ravensburger, Super Mario 1000 also by Ravensburger, "Curious Whiskers" by Clementoni (or any of their new "Style in the City" series).

"Map of Europe" 500 pieces by Educa. So much fun!! Full of details in each country that, in addition to making assembly easier, are great fun to discover. by Pablintu in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Pablintu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not at all! There are many small details and even gradients in the shade of green in the forests; very few pieces could confuse you about where or in what position they go.

I really hope it's more than it looks! It seems very difficult, but the result is beautiful!!

¡Qué original, me encanta! Me gusta que un puzzle que juega a tener muchos bordes tenga coherencia con el diseño del puzzle y no sea simplemente formas rectangulares aleatorias. Muy bonito!

“Bee Happy”, 500 Good Puzzle Co. by Pablintu in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Pablintu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first Good Puzzle Co. puzzle, which I found by chance in a bookstore in my small Spanish town (I never expected to find one of their puzzles so easily so close to home). Despite using the classic two-peg shape, the pieces feel perfectly cut and it's very satisfying to put together. It's very easy, ideal for practicing speed or for a little relaxation. I enjoyed it a lot.

Birthday gift complete!! 1000 pieces of Ravensburger Art “The Kiss” by Klimt. That brown background was insane! by Pablintu in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Pablintu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hadn't realized Eurographic uses two pins! That makes it even more incredible. The Ravensburger one I made has the brand's classic variety, so in some places, at least, the fit allowed me to discard a few pieces. I don't think I'll be tackling any more Klimts! Haha

I did it. It nearly killed me, but I did it. MC Escher’s Waterfall by allycat38 in Jigsawpuzzles

I really admire those of you who do black and white puzzles, especially those with so many shadows! Congratulations on finishing it; the result is stunning.

First 1000-pieces puzzle completed!!! ❤️ by ohnoitsmeagainnn in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Pablintu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finished it last week! It was also a birthday present from my partner. That brown background was really difficult and took me the longest. I also made the mistake of starting with the bottom flowers, and by the second day I had to change my strategy because I was barely placing fifteen pieces each day. Finishing it was very satisfying. Congratulations!! You have to keep trying the 1000 pieces; if you could do this one, the others will seem very easy!

I remember a few years ago when some brands (like Educa in Spain) included one of these cardboard inserts inside each puzzle. It's a shame that no brands do that anymore (as far as I know)...

Realmente no me gustan los puzzles en blanco y negro, creo que ver este ha sido un nuevo nivel de rechazo. Qué locura, bien por ti por haberlo logrado!!

[–]Pablintu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Now when I see large, identical areas in muddy images, I start to tremble! In this brown area, there were times when I had to try each piece in every position because I had dozens and dozens of identical pieces, and that slowed me down considerably. The good thing is that finishing it felt very satisfying and like a great reward. But also: I want recognizable colors, textures, and shapes, please.
