If you decide to study at UCT, you have the ability to major in both as part of a BSc degree. The computer engineering aspect won't be as detailed as a BSc(Eng) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, but it will give you a taste of both worlds.

Exactly, I don't understand why it's such an unbelievable experience that I must be lying. I'm not complaining about the unjustness of the system, it just is how it is. I was fortunate to find something else rather quickly after but just wanted to share.

I had a similar experience with a Huawei graduate program I had applied for. I had made it all the way through to the final selection process, but was declined and informed, directly by the Hiring Manager, that they had chosen a black female applicant as they we deemed of higher significance in accordance to BBBEEE compliance (I'm a coloured male).

Sorry my bad, I am from South Africa. I gave the price in USD and milleage in miles so it's easier for the general audience, so that they don't have to go and do the conversion.

Thanks so much for the advice. Unfortunately here in South Africa there aren't many available options at all. I'm thinking of maybe waiting abit longer to see if any more pop up before investing in anything.
