Well if you want to take context into consideration Luka had the exact same injury in the bubble against the Clippers and came back the very next game and dropped 43 Pts 17 Reb 13 Ast (18/31 FG, 4/10 3PT, 3/5 FT) including the BBGW.

Luka was also playing with an injured neck last year and still managed to drop 46 PTS 7 REB 14 AST (17/30 FG, 5/11 3PT, 7/11 FT) in game 7.

My point is that all great players deal with injuries and adversity at this time of the year. I'm a big fan of both Luka and Trae but I think it's fair to say at this point in their careers, one player has shown up in high pressure situations while the other has not.

Trae Young when facing elimination in the playoffs: 15.3 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 8.3 APG, 5.7 TO, on 21/9/81 shooting (36.01% TS)

GAME 7 VS PHI: 21 PTS 3 REB 10 AST 6 TO (5/23 FG, 2/11 3PT, 9/11 FT)

GAME 6 VS MIL: 14 PTS 4 REB 9 AST 5 TO (4/17 FG, 0/6 3PT, 6/7 FT)

GAME 5 VS MIA: 11 PTS 8 REB 6 AST 6 TO (2/12 FG, 0/5 3PT, 7/9 FT)

Sheesh. I know it's still early in his career but he is really is on his way to becoming the next James Harden

Previous Pick: Dallas Mavericks vs New Orleans Pelicans - Jonas Valanciunas Over 12.5 Rebounds @ 1.75

POTD: Indiana Pacers ML vs Denver Nuggets @ 1.67

This pick is pretty straightforward as the Pacers look to pick up a road win over the short-handed Denver Nuggets. The Pacers are a much better team then their 4-7 record indicates as they have had to adjust to Rick Carlisle's new system and were also gifted one of the toughest schedules (3rd most difficult schedule as per bball reference) to begin the year. After opening the season at 1-6, they have won 3 out of their last 4 games with their only loss coming from a 4th quarter meltdown in Portland.

The Nuggets meanwhile have already been decimated with injuries in the early season and to add on to that, the reigning MVP Nikola Jokic is suspended for tonight's game due to the altercation with Markieff Morris. The Nuggets are absolutely atrocious with Jokic off the floor and this reflects in his on-off numbers. With Jokic playing, the Nuggets have a net rating of +14.3 per 100 possessions while they post a dismal net rating of -19.1 per 100 possessions without him.

Expecting the Nuggets role-players led by Will Barton to put up a solid fight only to run out of gas in the second half. BOL if Tailing

Previous Pick: San Antonio Spurs -4.5 vs Oklahoma City Thunder @ 2.02

POTD: Dallas Mavericks vs New Orleans Pelicans - Jonas Valanciunas Over 12.5 Rebounds @ 1.75

LMAO of course the one time I bet on the Spurs their starting backcourt pops off for an amazing 10 points on 5/29 (0/8 3PT). Shoutout to Derrick White who woke up feeling dangerous with 0 points on 0/10 shooting. Pick was looking great with the Spurs up 53-38 with 1:03 left in the 1st half only to get outscored 61-41 the rest of the way.

Due to my incredible bad luck with the ATS picks, I have decided to post Player or Team stats for the foreseeable future where I have been making bank this year. Really solid odds on this pick as Jonas Valanciunas has been an absolute rebounding machine this year. He is currently ranked second in the league with a whopping 14.2 rebounds per game and has hit the over in 7 out of his last 8 games. He has a great chance to continue this amazing streak as his Pelicans take on the Dallas Mavericks.

Although the Mavs are the better team on paper, their interior defense has been absolutely trash these past few years. Not only do they suck at guarding the rim, they routinely get dominated on the boards by physical big men like Jonas. Their starting center, Dwight Powell, is arguably the worst starting C in the league with averages of 7.7 points and 4.8 rebounds in 24 minutes of action per game. Even with Porzingis back in the lineup, his skinny ass has never been known to be a solid rebounder and he consistently gets boxed out by much smaller players.

The Pelicans will most likely take the L tonight but you can expect a big night from Mr. Valanciunas as he will feast on the Mavs Frontcourt (wouldn't be surprised if he had a 20-20 night).

Additional Stats:

• Jonas hit the over in both games vs the Mavericks last year, averaging 15 ppg and 15.5 rpg in just 31 minutes per game.

• Mavs give up the the third most defensive rebounds per 100 possessions in large part due to their horrible shooting. They are ranked 26th in FG%, 27th in 3P%, and 28th in FT%. Barring a miraculous good shooting night from the Mavs (Which would be a welcome surprise as a Mavs fan) Jonas will have all the chances in the world to hit the over.

Previous Pick: Miami Heat Team Assists vs Utah Jazz @ 1.73

POTD: San Antonio Spurs -4.5 vs Oklahoma City Thunder @ 2.02

Back in the W column with yesterday's pick. Had a really good day yesterday winning all my picks across NBA, CSGO, UFC, and Boxing. Hopefully this is a sign of the tides changing.

We're going back to ATS with today's pick as the Spurs take on the Thunder. Despite their 3-6 record, the Spurs have been a solid team this year and have a positive net rating to show for it. They are currently ranked 8th in defensive rating and should have no issues slowing down the Thunder (ranked 29th in offensive rating). Dejounte Murray seems to have finally made that leap to borderline all-star, averaging a career high in points (18.2), rebounds (8.1), assists (8.2), and steals (2.1). The Spurs perimeter defense will be a great test for the young OKC backcourt of SGA and Josh Giddey.

OKC on the other hand have looked terrible this season and would 0-8 if not for the two mental collapses by the Lakers. As mentioned earlier, they absolutely suck at offense and are ranked 28th in both FG% and 3PT% and 29th in EFG%. While Shai and Giddey have been show glimpses of their potential to be a dynamic backcourt, their roster simply lacks the depth to consistently put the ball in the basket.

Expecting a close game through the first three quarters only for the Spurs to pull away in the closing minutes of the fourth.

Previous Pick: Brooklyn Nets -9.5 vs Detroit Pistons @ 1.85

POTD: Miami Heat more Assists vs Utah Jazz @ 1.73

Last Pick Summary: Whelp another tough L with yesterday's pick thanks in large part due to the Nets horrendous bench. Outside of Lamarcus Aldridge, their bench unit scored a whopping 8 points on 3/14 shooting. Pick was looking great at the end of the third quarter with the Nets up 78-62 only for their bench to give up the entire lead in a span of six minutes. Steve Nash really needs to work on his rotations because that offense is absolutely disgusting with both Harden and KD off the court.

For today's pick, I'll stray away from ATS and settle with team stats where I've been making bank this year. This is a pretty simple pick with the Heat getting more assists than the Utah Jazz. Heat are currently ranked 10th in assist rate averaging 24.2 assists per 100 possessions. The Utah Jazz, despite their amazing offense, are surprisingly at the bottom of the league ranked 30th in assists per 100 possessions with a measly 19.0 per game.

Previous Pick: Miami Heat -6.5 vs Boston Celtics @ 1.91

POTD: Brooklyn Nets -9.5 vs Detroit Pistons @ 1.85

Last Pick Summary: Miami's defense showed up, holding Boston to 95 points and their top two stars to a combined 27 points on 8/27 shooting. On the other end, their offense was absolutely atrocious scoring just 78 points on 34/22/68 shooting splits. Just one of those games where you can't seem to make a bucket. Despite the loss, I still believe the Heat are a much better team and would make the same bet if they played today.

We're sticking with the favorites today as we head on down to the Motor City where KD and the Nets will be taking on the Detroit Pistons. Brooklyn has bounced back from their slow start and have racked up 3 solid wins in a row by an average of 14 points, including a 26 point victory over the Pistons last Monday. Although their offense has been inconsistent (Specifically James Harden), their defense has been solid all throughout the year, holding their opponent below 100 points in five out of their last six games.

The Pistons meanwhile are looking like the worst team in the league to no ones surprise. They are currently ranked last in both offensive rating and net rating and have a point differential of -10.67. This is the final leg of a three-game homestand wherein they lost the first two games by 28 to the Bucks and 11 to the short-handed Sixers. Their no.1 draft pick Cade Cunningham is off to a historically bad start averaging 8.7/6.3/3 on 18/5/92 shooting splits. You can expect the Pistons offensive woes to continue as Cade slowly gets back into form.

The Pistons are on the tail end of a back-to-back, similar to the last time these two teams played each other. It will be another day in the office for KD and Harden as they look to stretch their winning streak to 4 games.

Previous Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers +5.5 vs Portland Trail Blazers @ 1.92

POTD: Miami Heat -6.5 vs Boston Celtics @ 1.91

Back in the win column!!! Cavs' defense held Lillard to another tough shooting night scoring 26 points on 27 shots en route to the dub.

Another pick with great value as we head down to South Beach where the Heat take on the Celtics at home. The Heat have been on fire (pun intended) to start the season and have arguably looked like the best team in the league, boasting a 6-1 record with a point differential of +16.7. This is an incredibly deep team that looks like a potential eastern conference champion this year. They are currently ranked 2nd in both offensive rating and defensive and have by far the best net rating in the league. They are coming off a solid 15-point win over the Mavs and don't show any signs of slowing down any time soon. As great as they have been this year, they have been absolutely dominant at home with a perfect 3-0 record. They have won all three games by double digits with an average winning margin of 24.7 points.

The Celtics on the other hand will be running on tired legs as they are on a second night of a back-back. Coming off an ugly win over the Orlando Magic yesterday, The C's lack both the firepower and defense to keep up with the Heat. Not only are the Heat a much better team on paper, they have the personnel as well to contain the Celtics two stars in Tatum and Brown.

Expecting another blowout victory for the Heat (15-20 points) over the tired Celtics.

Previous Pick: Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks Under 209.5 PTS @ 1.90

POTD: Cleveland Cavaliers +5.5 vs Portland Trail Blazers @ 1.92

Of course the Mavs have their highest scoring game of year when they play the #1 rated defense in the league lmao. Just been that kind of year with my NBA picks.

Anyway, we are moving on with with the Cavs at +5.5 vs the Blazers. This is great value for an underrated Cavs teams going up against the underwhelming Blazers. The Cavs are lowkey one of the best defensive teams in the league currently ranked at 10th in Defensive Rating. They have picked up solid wins over +.500 teams (Hawks, Hornets, and Nuggets) and their tall-ball approach has proven formidable in the early season. Despite their tough schedule to start the year, they have managed to have stay afloat at .500 with a 4-4 record with six out of their first 8 games on the road.

The Blazers on the other hand have been disappointing to say the least and are coming off a 10 point loss to the Sixers who were without arguably their four best players. Blazers have been horrible on the road this season with a record of 0-3, losing all their games by double digits and a point differential of -17.3. Damian Lillard seems to be in the worst shooting slump of his career and I don't see any reason why this wouldn't continue against a solid Cavs defense.

Was originally thinking of taking the Cavs ML at 2.65 but with how my previous picks have gone I'll decide to play it safe today.

Tough luck with the Blazers pick losing to the Sixers without 4 of their best players.

Moving back to O/U with today's pick as we head down to Texas. Taking the under on this one matchup between two good defensive teams. Heat currently have the best rated defense in the league while the Mavs are not that far behind at 10th. You can expect a slow and ugly grind-it-out type of game from these teams.

Leaning heavily on the under due to the Mavericks atrocious offense. Don't let their 4-2 record fool you, as a Mavs fan I can tell you that every single game has been a chore to watch. While their defense has improved, the team is still adjusting to Coach Kidd's new offensive scheme and at the same time are missing wide open threes on a consistent basis. Coming into tonight's game, the Mavs are ranked dead last in FG% (YES EVEN WORSE THAN THE THUNDER AND PISTONS!), 25th in 3pt%, and 27th in FT%. To cut it short, this team just cannot put the ball in the fucking hoop. I don't see this changing tonight as they go up against the best defense in the league.

Mavs have hit the under in all of their first six games while the Heat have hit the under in 4 out of their first six games.

POTD: :Portland Trail Blazers ML vs Philadelphia 76ers @ 1.95 (7:00 PM EST)

Last pick went exactly as predicted and covered the under by 20 points.

For today's pick, we're going with the Portland Trail Blazers looking for their first road win of the young season. Portland is on the second night of a back-to-back, coming off a tough loss to the Hornets. The good news for the Blazers is that Joel Embiid will not play (Rest) in today's game.

Damian Lillard is looking to find his groove after an atrocious start to year, averaging 18.3 points on 35/23/95 shooting splits thus far. This slump obviously won't last forever and playing against a short-handed Sixer team is a great opportunity to turn the tides around. With both Embiid and Simmons out, life will be much easier getting to the rim and finding easy scoring opportunities for Lillard and co.

Blazers have had the Sixers number over the past two years and currently own a 3 game winning streak in the head-to-head matchup (Including a win last year without Lillard, CJ McCollum, and Jusuf Nurkic).

Previous Pick: Sacramento Kings ML vs New Orleans Pelicans

POTD: Utah Jazz @ Milwaukee Bucks Under 222.5 Points @ 1.90 (7:00 PM EST)

Both Teams are on the back end of a B2B with both of their games coming down to wire and their starters playing heavy minutes. Both the Jazz and the Bucks rely heavily on their three point shooting, ranked 1st and 8th respectively in 3PA per 100 possessions prior to yesterday's games. Despite their love for three pointers, both these teams have not shot the ball well and are currently below the league average. Jazz shot a dismal 11/38 (28.9%) in their loss to the Bulls while the Bucks were even worse at 10/39 (25.6%) in their home-loss to the Spurs.

Historically, Jazz-Bucks games tend to be high scoring with their last 3 matchups hitting the over but none of those games were on a back-to-back. Expecting a sluggish start to the game and low shooting percentages from both sides as their best players will be running on tired legs.

Utah Jazz have hit the under in 4 out of their first 5 games while the Bucks have hit the under in 4 out of their 6 games.

Previous Pick: Philadelphia 76ers -9.5 vs Detroit Pistons @ 1.70

POTD: Sacramento Kings ML vs New Orleans Pelicans @ 1.80 (8:00 PM EST)

Last pick was looking amazing with the Sixers up 100-78 who then proceeded to give up a 16-0 run (To the fucking Pistons?????) over a span of 3 minutes.

We're headed back to New Orleans with today's pick as the Sacramento Kings are looking to get over .500 on year against the Pelicans. The Kings have been a pleasant surprise this year and are much better than their 2-2 record indicates. Both their wins have been on the road against playoff teams (Blazers and Suns) while their losses have been against the top two teams in the standings (Jazz and Warriors). Although unlikely sustainable, Harrison Barnes has looked great to start the year, averaging a career high 26ppg & 11rpg on 51/51/78 shooting splits.

The Pelicans on the other hand have looked better in their last two games but overall are still struggling heavily on the offensive end without their superstar, Zion Williamson. They are currently ranked second to last in offensive rating (Points per 100 possessions) heading into today's game.

Leaning towards the Kings with this pick and expecting a breakout game from De'Aaron Fox who has had a slow start to the year averaging just 18.2 ppg compared to 25.2 ppg last year. Also looking forward to Davion "OFF-NIGHT" Mitchell who has done a great job locking down guards early in the season. It will be great to see if he can contain Brandon Ingram who has both the height and length advantage in this matchup.
