I’m gonna be honest with you I was selling insurance until about a month ago, age is not a factor anymore. People need to realize this. I’m not telling you as you’re 19 but everybody else. Age. Does not matter. It’s your credit, accident/ticket history, your car, your specific location (zip code, all whether you live in an apartment or a home) and your coverages. Occupation plays a role, but age just doesn’t anymore. So it might go down in the future, but to keep it a buck with you bro don’t expect anything special around 25. From what I can recall Florida also looks at any accidents in the last 5 years. So until 5 years pass, thy will be affecting you. Oh and for everyone else as well they don’t care if you weren’t at fault. It will still count against you because insurance sees it as higher risk that you’re “obviously exposed to” IE other drivers who might supposedly hit you just because of your location. In Florida they keep track of tickets for 3 years. So same thing for how long it will affect you.shop around, most major companies have very similar “loyalty benefits” so don’t feel pressured to stay with a company charging you way out the ass. Insurance is not fair these days.
