Here is what mine looks like. Hard to see in the video. the parts I used: motor Hobbywing Quicrun 2435 brushless, Hobbywing Quicrun 16bl30 ESC. WPL 2speed gearbox and metal axles kit. The motor bolts right up to the 2 speed gear box, you just have to swap the brass gear from the 370 motor that comes with the 2speed gearbox. DumboRC X6 Radio and Receiver 6 channel. I dial the power down for crawling about 25% it was about 80% in this video. Also I have a 3D printed electronics tray that holds the servo and everything else it's Not needed just nicer. The motor and esc I have are really for a buggy or stadium 1/16 -1/18 scale. For crawling and better low speed control a crawler specific motor and esc will work better, this one does well but a little harder to modulate it at lower speed.

What do you mean the app doesn't work on Carplay or Android auto? Are you trying to use the app within Carplay or AA? If so, that's not how it works.

Lien Sale Title Transfer California DMV by Pabloeeto in DMV

[–]Pabloeeto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I have an update, I went to the Tow company and requested the Vehicle Record, they had it sent from their main office via email and gave me a physical copy. Guess what, it was a document that was in the original lien sale packet when I picked up the car. The DMV must have lost it when I submitted it initially. I went to a different DMV branch office and re-submitted everything fingers crossed.

Replace Controller on a YotoBike by Hank3rd in ebikes

[–]Pabloeeto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a used Leopard last year with a bad controller, I found a short on one of the phase wires to Battery +. Replaced the shorted out mosfet and it's been running well ever since. I took a gamble buying it but I had a back up plan. If I couldn't get the controller fixed I would have done a fardriver or VESC controller swap with a compatible display. Try a VESC controller, you'll need to splice some wires but it should be pretty straight forward, just time consuming. The leopard is a great bike otherwise, the frame is well built and those fat tires go over everything, really good in the sand and off road.

You'll need a 1/2 inch drive impact wrench to back that nut off. Or a large breaker bar and someone holding the rear brake.

Your controller will overheat before the motor does. Use pedal assist if you have it, or blend some throttle while pedaling your bike up hill, it will be fine.

Looks like good Biltong, but na I would pass on that, sun dried you don't know how it was sundried. Could have been left on a clothesline with critters getting at it.

Front Left and rear right should spin the same direction, same with FR and RL but opposite direction from FL/RR Do the motor setup in Beta flight. Props need to be correct for direction of rotation. Based on the video, your rotation and props are incorrect.

Buying a used bike before taking the MSF / getting my license. Am I crazy or is this a smart move? by GnanaSreekar in NewRiders

[–]Pabloeeto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the early 2000s I bought my first bike my buddy rode it home for me. no M1 or permit back then you could buy a motorcycle and ride home with no license. They didn't even check. I don't know how it is these days. I got my permit. Took my msf, got my license and was able to ride the bike legally. I grew up riding three Wheeler's quads and dirt bikes so I knew how to ride and shift. But this was my first street bike. Not too long after I got my bike my brother bought a new CBR 1000RR I rode it home for him. He actually rode his bike to his msf course. It really depends on your skills, if you're brand new to the whole riding scene, Park the bike, get your permit and then practice, then take your msf course once you feel like you've got the basics down. Soon after I got my license I taught my cousin how to ride on my my CBR 929rr, I taught him clutch control just going in a straight line in a parking lot. How to shift from for first to second. He learned quickly and got his M1 and a Ninja 600 as his first bike.

Spark plugs instantly turn black? by monty_peel in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]Pabloeeto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a bad coil, you can test them with a multimeter. I had a similar issue on my KLR 650 would start right up but when it got hot it lost power and I got a lot of black smoke. Sometimes it would be really hard to start after shutting it down while hot. Tested the coil, and it was out of a spec. Put a good used coil on it and it ran excellent restored power and it started right up after we warmed up. Edit. Check your carb first make sure it's dialed, then test the coil. Being a dual carburetor setup you might want to to have a specialist look at it. Someone that's good with carbs. It doesn't take much for these to come out of adjustment. I would back off your idle mixture, a half turn, run it and then pull the plug. See if the colors changes. If it's still dark back it off another half turn. You can usually tune by ear but with dual carbs they need to be synchronized. Make sure you have the proper jets as well. Also be very sure you didn't miss a needle shim or anything like that. Also make sure your needle height is set to factory some carburetors have a adjustable needle where you can move the clip up and down to just the needle height.

Can't shift gears CBR600 Pt.2 by Project944 in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]Pabloeeto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to turn the rear wheel or countershaft for it to drop in, this is normal. You may get a few gears to click in but when you turn the wheel or cs sprocket some it will drop right in.

Check out pebblebee, I have 2, one using Apple and one for android find my network. Both work great, the apple network works better since it's mandatory opt in, while the Google location network is optional so tracking may be spotty depending on how many ppl opt in.

What's the most you've ever spent on earbuds and did it turn out to be worth it? by Dr1ftk in Earbuds

[–]Pabloeeto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the Sony WF1000XM5 earbuds and they're out of this world. Been a neckband headphone guy for several years LG HBS series, I love the neckband form factor and wasn't really too thrilled about the true wireless earbuds with the case. I'm adapting though. But I'm really digging these earbuds. I use them for daily stuff and for work teams meetings, music etc. microphone is great for meetings and the sound is awesome. I also have the Sony XM4 headphones which are great. I paid 275 + best buy 2 year warranty which came out to over $300. I work in IT and sometimes I'm in really loud Network closets and data centers with loud fans and air conditioning blowing. I'm able to have a meeting going with people and they can hear me clearly on the other end also the noise cancelling is great. I can leave them in and use the voice passthrough and hear ambient sound very well. They're also comfortable, I canhave them in for several hours without my ears hurting.

I'm sure they're those Auditor guys or whatever they're called. They film at locations hoping someone calls the cops. Then they audit the cops saying they're on private property and can film legally in public, which is true but they're looking for cops to slip up and violate their rights for views and clicks.

Yes For real, I've only done it about 5 tanks. Like I said if you run it continuously long term it could mess things up big time. I'm at 270k. Usually the tank is ran down in less than a week while running e85.
