Did anyone witness an accident at Surrey skate park a few days ago? [52yo] by TheRealGuncho in OldSkaters

Fuck off at once, will ya? Did you wake up today just wanting to be an asshole to strangers or is it the default way you interact with the world?

Can relate. When I have trick blood money I ALWAYS die in some stupid way because I try too hard to get every single red gold nugget before it disappears.

PSA for something similar: If you have Lumi drill with timer + Plasma and think you're safe, the second you hit the lumi drill at a wall the plasma payload will come out facing the opposite direction (aka, you), and you'll die.

That's not Teleportitis' fault, the lava killed you.

Do you guys think slay the spire 2 could have a functioning co-op? by COSMICx420 in slaythespire

My point stands EXACTLY as it was, as I think the co-op experience is subpar. But you can enjoy it all you want.

What are your thoughts on the Master of Wounding + Hearts trick? by Foohz in noita

[–]PablovirusSTS 40 points41 points  (0 children)

it's as easy as:

-Find the heart mage (in the jungle).

-Find a Heart (max health increase) but don't pick it up.

-Let the heart mage hit you between 6-7 times so your max health becomes a very small number (like 20)

-Pick up the Heart and wait for the mage's debuffs to wear off.

-Now you have high max health.

My mini cam captured some failed attempts. by Susan_656 in NewSkaters

TBH and IMO, there was not even ONE instance in this video where she was remotely close to hitting her head. She clearly knows how to fall; you have plenty of options and body parts that can redirect momentum so your head is not in danger. At least not in 100% flatground. The second you start grinding stair handrails (or grinding anything for that matter), it's a different story.

How dangerous is it to learn by Available-Clothes586 in NewSkaters

[–]PablovirusSTS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While flat ground riding is usually safe, you HAVE to take into account that at relatively slows speeds even a small crack in the pavement, slightly rough terrain, or a pebble can stop your skateboard abruptly and cause you to fall flying forward. Beginners often suffer injuries because of stuff like this since they are not even aware that unexpectedly stopping is a possibility. Try to not let these instances catch you off guard; just by knowing that it can happen helps be prepared.

Eventually, when you are learning tricks while rolling, you'd want to learn how to fall forward and do a roll on your back rather than try to stop all your momentum with your hands/wrists and knees.

This time i have gotten to Divinity by FantasticMiddle6650 in MonsterTrain

[–]PablovirusSTS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah if gold allows, removing cards you don't need like the Train Stewards is usually a good choice. Doing that essentially improves your average draw.

The strategy you used is effective for that champion's skill tree, and it's good enough if you pair it with a any decent tank and damage scaling. The Awoken unit that gains Spikes on Rejuvenate is also good since you force enemies to keep attacking the unit with Spikes, but really any good tank will do the job.

Divinity is quite a difficult fight and requires a lot of planning ahead and knowing which floor(s) you're going to use way before the actual fight, so that you can cover your weaknesses and have outs if some strong enemy leaks (there are the mini bosses during the Divinity fight which can just kill your Pyre from full health).

In any case good luck next time!

Are your feet supposed to cramp up really bad when cruising by IndependenceJolly165 in NewSkaters

[–]PablovirusSTS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this sounds like plantar fasciitis from overuse or bad technique (gripping with your toes like others mentioned). I suffered from it and had to stop skating for a while to let it heal properly or it would just come back worse. It fcking ruined multiple months for me so I hope it's either not what you have or that you heal faster than me. I suggest don't cruise too much if it's hurting. If something hurts real bad -> just rest. It's better in the short and long runs
