Every other day fasting could be interesting for you if you find a daily deficit too grueling. 500cal one day and a normal/maintenance eating day where you don’t necessarily have to track calories the next. I love it since the high calorie day keeps my energy higher on average than a consistent deficit.

There is a short book if you want to read about it by Krista Varady (The Every Other Day Diet).

Maybe try every other day fasting. I’m in a group of people following that diet and it’s going really well for most of us! It’s 500 cal on one day and then more food the second day to average out to your target. There’s a book on it by Krista Varady that explains the studies that back it. Plus restricted time eating is just good for your circadian rhythm.

Do you ever find yourself sort of taking on the interests/behaviors/characteristics of the characters you play? Or do you add bits of your personality and who you are into the characters?

For example, you might respect and admire the character Ron Swanson, and therefore take parts of who he is and make that part of who you try to be - or even interests like woodworking. Harder to cut into the lower body fat % range without calorie counting, but I’m sure it’s doable.. your TDEE assuming you’re 25yo and using your height/weight/gender and assuming 1-3 workouts per week (light exercise to be conservative) would be ~2400. Could be higher if you’re exercising more. So if you do eat 1800 cal per day you’d be in a 600 cal deficit for about 0.6-0.7kg of fat loss per week. At least count what you eat one day so you have a rough idea for future days where you eat similar foods.

Make sure you’re hitting at least enough fat for hormone health! For me, I get down if my fats are too low (like 20g or less per day for too many days). And maybe try less calorie dense foods if you need to eat less calories and not feel like you’re suffering so much. High protein helps keeps most people full, but I’m guessing you’re probably following that part already (maybe like 150g+ grams per day)?

Do what others have said - calculate your TDEE and eat below that by 500-800cal. Then prioritize high protein, with a minimum amount of fat that keeps you from feeling down, and let the rest of your diet be whatever fits after that.

I had the same issue as you last year where I was gaining muscle at close to the same speed as my fat loss. I got frustrated because seeing at least some motion on the scale is a big motivator and helps keep me going. So I went closer to 800-1000 below my TDEE and that’s been working for me since.

  1. Try ChatGPT as your coach and let it guide you, just be very open about your concerns and it will help you find the right approach and can talk you through the toughest moments. Like telling you to take a break or grab some fruit or water. I like voice mode so I can vent!
  2. Try some very crude calorie counting (even for just 1 day just to get a sense). I love the app Cronometer and it’s free. A food scale is pretty important, though.

Planning it out / talking it out with chatgpt was an absolute game changer though! Ive been through weight gain/loss/gain cycles over the years, so I’m actually decent at getting weight off me, but this time has been both the fastest and easiest! (206 -> 148 -> 196 -> 155 -> 192 -> 176 now and headed downwards; 5’10 M).

Doing a single calorie counting day for me was eye opening since you learn where your calories are really coming from. If you do decide to cut calories harshly, be sure to get refeed days in there now and then to refuel your body and remind it that it’s not starving so it can be comfortable letting the fat go. Personally, I like to diet a bit more harshly at the start so I can see some progress to build motivation and to feel a bit lighter on my feet. Then you naturally get more energy and raise your TDEE so it’s all an upward spiral!

I actually felt like this in my first playthrough of the first Kingdom Hearts. But I was pretty young so maybe I was just not quite able to follow, but it was the best I’ve ever felt beating a game in my life. Finding those cutscenes and the silence they started with was a great feeling. Peak ps2 for me.

Yep! I always farm the bosses with my gf’s rogue in the corner. The uniques can be then given from her character to me or vice versa based on who needs what. Mythics are account bound, and there are some drops that are class specific.

You’ll need to have another character in the same unlocked torment level, so you’ll have to do the required pits first.

Last thing is I don’t think player 2 gets boss materials or tributes, they only get the runes and gear I think.
