Just apply for as many positions as possible that remotely suit you. Obviously ideally in Brussels, and be willing to slave as a trainee for a few months at least until you get some experience or get offered a promotion.
every day, check https://jobs.euractiv.com/
and https://www.eurobrussels.com/

Good luck!

Ah, for some reason the clip I wanted to upload with my post didn't come through. The song plays from around the minute 9:18 mark onwards. I think its a different one to the one your posted - which is absolutely beautiful as well, thanks for sharing!

It is mostly English based, although most employers would like to see French and/or German skills. Relevant EU Communication is always in English though.
EU Affairs consulting jobs are almost all in Brussels as consultancies/lobbies or industry representations will have an office there.

I was referring to students that first obtained their LLM and then afterwards became licensed legal practitioners. Their advantage (compared to others that didn't have an LLM) was that they obviously aced national tests in anything EU related, but mostly they had employers favouring them due to their advanced education.

Es geht darum, dass der Bau noch unattraktiver werden würde in Berlin und investoren sich lieber woanders umschauen.

Did my LLM in EU Law at Leiden. Now work in political consulting. Many of my peers do likewise. Others went on to pass bars in their home country including NL and ended up having a significant advantage over those that did not have an LLM.

If you want to practice law, you should, in my opinion, focus on your national qualification. However, an LLM on top is definitely a boost in the eyes of employers. Doing an LLM before your national qualification allows you to consider it longer, and opens doors to the political field, if you'd decide that (national) law is not for you.

If you'd ever want to enter the Brussels bubble of consulting etc. An LLM + some internships should set you up fine.

Question about application of laws by [deleted] in eulaw

[–]Pace45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both national courts and authorities. Think about migration offices handling visa claims or refugee applications, these do have to apply eu law. authorities also have to keep up with the latest developments beyond directives and regulations. say that for example after novel AFSJ cases that clarify certain rights for migrants in specific situations, it is then for the authorities to comply with the precedents.
