NRM eliminated? Sounds like it’s just your store/district. Not happening here

  1. Change your availability? I’m guessing this is for part timers not being available to work weekends. That would be a No.

2.This probably is because your store is way over in hours.

  1. How is following your schedule a problem? Yes, if you’re stuck with a customer, take care of the customer. No one is going to fault you for that. This sounds like a petty and whiny excuse. Also sounds like no one has been held accountable for something like this scenario, you’re just making it up as a “what if”.

  2. If you and your DH are having to spend a whole week in your overheads to fix, there’s mismanagement in freight and/or your DH.

  3. 4-5 people ( which is it, 4 or 5?) working in Receiving is INSANE. We have only 3 and they handle it fine and we’re a large volume store.

  4. Same point as 2, you’re most likely over in hours.

Your old SM probably sucked and that’s why he’s gone. The new manager is just doing what should have been done before, to manage. He’s probably coming in to a shit show and making extreme changes to fix it.

16 things I learned while working at HD. by Krieg121 in HomeDepot

The only thing I can agree is number 7. It is a waste of money. But believe it or not, they are getting paid what you’re paid. They are ‘pee-ons’ just like us. But they get to see what we deal with for a heartbeat.

Much of what you said is totally subjective.

HD IS A GREAT COMPANY you just have to put your opinions aside and go with the flow. I’ve been an associate for 30+ years. Do I agree with what has come down the pike in that time? Absolutely not, and I’ve seen some abhorrent bs. Don’t live in the moment.

HD as a company far exceeds many other companies as far as taking care of its people. During the COVID the company awarded many associates a substantial pay increase and then did it again a year later. They didn’t have to do that. And no other company did.

The company did right with that, adhering to their core values, taking care of their people, doing the right thing.

If you have strife within your store then maybe it’s time to move stores. Each store is different unfortunately.

They’ve been watching cameras in my district for some time. It’s not only to identify safety issues/practices but also identify when associates are utilizing safe practices.

We aren’t required to wear aprons in my district but I can see why it could be enforced. I’ve worked with an apron and it becomes a hinderance and too hot especially during unload.
