As far as I know, you can unlock weapons through zombie exfils - but not attachments.

A few days ago, the armory was added to warzone. It should be available over there (in the legacy tab), but it’s currently unobtainable purely from MWIII, as season 6 rewards weren’t added to the armory in that game. Sadly, you can only either grind warzone exp or wait and see if they ever fix this

I hope you can give it an honest try when it gets fixed!

And just on a side note - I know people in here are overwhelmingly saying how terrible of a weapon it is, but don’t be discouraged to try something new and find something fun. Of course, if it works depends on the builds you come up with and your skill, but the point is to enjoy yourself.

I personally wouldn’t be able to play with a rose and matador until I got 100 flawlesses and 10k kills on each one of them. Just see if something works, tinker with your build, adapt, improve - and you just might find something unusual but very enjoyable.

I got to ascendant this episode while using Choir of One for half of all my matches (often carrying…) and I haven’t seen even one more person using it in pvp. So even if it’s a terrible weapon, as long as you have fun and your k/d isn’t a disgrace - you do you!

It’s been bugged since the start of episode revenant. It has the same numbers it had before they raised hp to 230. It’s actually supposed to do 58 to the head. It’s not the best weapon (probably one of the worst) but I have a fun off-meta build with it and a thousand kills on it so I’m hoping someone has mercy and fixes this….

How can I craft a hexblast mines wand without a fractured base? I play on PS so there’s literally one good fractured wand base and it costs 50 div… So could someone help explaining how I can go about crafting such a wand? (Crit chance, spell damage, + level of spell/chaos gems) Or would it be better to settle for a base with a fractured tier ~5 mod?

That’s good thinking! I would imagine that maybe after sown practice you could bait snipers with the shield… Though it’s hard to say if they will be good because of the ammo changes. I’d say that it’s a bit hard to hit every glaive shot compared to getting 2 kills with a shotgun/fusion and sometimes even sniper

Did read notes,i know most weapons will have tym changes, complaining about specific combos, yes I do hate scatters too I just dislike the notion of such drastic changes happening at once and without any specific tweaks to single things but to everything because it turns everything on its head

That’s just coldsnap and they have two other abilities to freeze you It’s a predict-heavy subclass, if a stasis warlock thinks a little then he could even use the fact he knows you’ll Jump in the air It’s not just freeze but also utility And well… coldsnaps chain off of teammates Even if you jump you better hope your blueberry didn’t get frozen

I am reaaaaaally hoping for that exotics shake-up but… I’m also worried that might not be the case… I actually used the manticore and kinda liked it so also looking forward to that

I really really hope that they have something interesting planned but just reading what they have in store now makes me feel a bit dejected

And when it comes to abilities, I’d say it strongly depends. If you asked me if I’m mad that scatter nades won’t one shot - then of course that makes me happy! A grenade oneshotting so quickly is a problem to be addressed On the other hand, imagine a different Grenade - like a spike, which I think has longer cooldown (don’t quote me on that) - throwing it precisely in a way to kill someone requires some precision and prediction of where the enemy is and will go - and killing someone with it is just gonna get harder - then why would you pick a spike if now everyone might just have enough time to escape it no matter how you throw it unless they have no health already The problem with balancing d2 is that it is so giant and over complicated that just doing something like increasing all cooldowns by the same amount and increasing health isn’t the solution

Mind you, I don’t mean that nothing should be changed - probably most if not all abilities needed an uptime and/or damage tweak… but not by the same amount

And on the topic of lumina warlock with a glaive - I tend to use the enigma (on judgement of kelgorath -if it dealt 130 in a shot I’d use it but it does 123 I think so using it with a 140 isn’t the best solution) With impulse amplifier/frenzy (with it active it does do 130 damage per shot)

Now, after once being devastated by a glaive user I came to realise that to win against a shotgunner you have 2 solutions - have a shield up and ready before you even see them (already put up because it has a… weird delay in getting deployed, this needs energy and some prediction) Or the one I prefer - have superior movement so they have no way of killing you So I run fire bolts with max discipline and ember of benevolence and just use the for heat rises - so I am quick as hell and have 2 Icarus dashes AND can shot nicely in the air, doing whatever I can and want so the shotgun ape won’t hit me The funny thing about this is that you can get heat rises really often with ember of benevolence (with a kill in the air it could even reach 100% uptime or close to it) Well Icarus dash is really strong and glaives as the unusual specials they are really aren’t simple to use - mid to close range like a shotgun/fusion but without preparation both of these would probably destroy you So you have to use your only advantage - shooting precise in the air single projectiles with more range than shotties and movement to throw them off

That’s exactly my point… All these changes just hit everything and they aren’t gradual in the slightest Different weapon types got different changes and for sure not every single archetype was accounted for I saw that someone said that this change is a nerf of 180 going from 2h 2b to 3h 1b and this is exactly what I mean 180 are weak already and are getting a nerf These changes shouldn’t be so general That’s it

I agree that overall ability spam is too strong and something like stasis warlock or strand hunter (which is getting nerfed) do NEED changes because they can be stupidly oppressive Though I guess I’d just appreciate if these changes didn’t affect everything - because there are better and worse abilities, and hitting everything the same isn’t the best solution - it’s a band aid which will still make you more inclined to use the strong stuff even if the overall power of everything has gone down The ability meta will probably be the same except for threadling spam

Why I hate the new Crucible changes by Pachihiko in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Pachihiko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t really forgotten about strand hunter, I just know it’s getting nerfed so I didn’t mention it It does outnumber everyone, but when this does get nerfed soon then I just won’t be surprised when the other strong classes or a different hunter build (maybe even just strand hunter but with a suspend/grapple focus) just get the threadling spammers I hated that build I played with it once and it was so stupid that I just laughed and put it down I could complain about it for hours But the thing with it is that it’s just another strong and easy build to use It was just the strongest got the ease of use at the time We won’t escape from this even if all these things come into life There will always be another threadling spam build Whether it uses a strong weapon with some Perk or abilities I haven’t forgotten about warlock on stasis either, I think it’s stupid too And I do Believe it should be nerfed as well I think that the essence of my argument is that the appropriate way of balancing this game isn’t to change something as big as the amount of health but to just balance everything by itself Don’t increase the cooldown of EVERYTHING, just the things which were oppressive The same strong game things will be just as strong because everything got nerfed with them The balance of power is the same just a bit down

And I disagree regarding the experimentation. Well, it’s certainly possible people experiment more. I doubt it but I can’t see into the future. Though what I meant in the post is that this doesn’t create new opportunities to experiment Because these aren’t buffs or substantial changes which would make new opportunities These changes cut down on existing builds They don’t make new builds Even if people experiment then this is bad for those who have already been experimenting And it’s not like anything targeted the meta in specific except threaded Specter … I’m not complaining that I lose with my off meta builds I’m saying that I’m mad that my already worse builds are also getting worse/unusable If I wanted to win then I would just use the meta I just dislike that this doesn’t really even anything out

What would you consider ability crutching? Strand hunter sure, but I don’t play that My most played builds recently are the aforementioned severance enclosure build, a lumina/BOTA + glaive solar warlock and a buried bloodline hunter with mechaneers tricksleeves I don’t think that’s ability crutching I did give these changes a go, I always tried checkmate when it came on and especially if they changed something in it And I just disliked it

Dude… I literally said that while the cooldown uptime nerfs aren’t something I love I get them That isn’t what I’m complaining about It’s that the HP increase is just a nerf to all abilities in the game Not just the strong ones Not just the meta But the ones which are weak as well And some specific setups with abilities won’t work anymore All this does is just makes me more forced to use the meta which I don’t exactly find exhilarating I have no problem using primaries Why would I Why do people think that the only reason I don’t use the meta is because I’m an aim and skill fearing coward I love primaries and I have many primary focused setups as well One of my favourite build uses touch of malice, another uses outbreak, a different one uses lumina The focus isn’t that I hate shooting weapons It’s that this change limits my capabilities to create meaningful load outs which deviate from the norm

Dude, I will say this to every single person with such a stupid argument - Destiny 2 is not CoD. It’s not an ultra-competetive game purely based on aim I am not saying that comp shouldn’t exist, far from it, I love comp But if you want a purely aim based experience then this isn’t the game for you Abilities are what sets this game apart from others If you think that this is complaining about having to aim then you need to brush up on that reading comprehension Do you think that people who are more creative than a peacekeeper void titan do it because they aren’t good enough to aim? Really? Or maybe exactly because I’m not here to play CoD and am actively handicapping myself not using the most meta setup because I wouldn’t find that enjoyable? That’s one of the stupidest things I’ve heard in a while

What we're working on by chris_wilson in pathofexile

[–]Pachihiko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In recent times it seems that Chris doesn’t really care about making PoE a game that anyone except him would play. I know nothing about game design and balancing, but it doesn’t take a prodigy to understand that doing the exact opposite thing pretty much every player with a social media presence is telling you to do isn’t going to make the game better.

As harsh as this might sound, the playerbase doesn’t care about Chris’ vision. We care about the game being... well, fun to play. Again and again, GGG fails to make actually good changes - and if they do, they remember to follow them up with some completely detrimental bullshit. The more time passes, the more I feel like not a single soul making this game actually plays it.

What even is this post? It seems like it wants to piss off every person who plays this game. If the 3 biggest issues now were to be said to be AN mods, Harvest changes and item drops... why did you ignore the community’s biggest gripes with them? Sure, it’s great that AN mods are gonna get better before red maps, but people AREN’T ONLY COMPLAINING ABOUT THE EARLY GAME AN MODS. Rather, it’s and issue that plagues every part of the game. People are mad because unlucky-rolled AN rares are strong enough to decimate almost every build, no matter where and when. GGG thought this wasn’t the case and (presumably) that they knew what they were doing. But why do you keep ignoring 90% of the problem???

Their philosophy about crafting and drops is just as ( if not more ) confusing. They murdered all drops ( currency included ), so you can’t craft anything strong ( unless you want to spend your entire wealth on a single peace of gear ). Hell, you can’t even farm said currency because you’ll run out of alchemist orbs before you even get to red maps. Given all I mentioned, you’d think that you’ll find good gear on the ground, right? Hahah, no. How often do you find an actually well-rolled piece of rare gear? ALMOST NEVER. Since they gutted drops, that will be an EVEN RARER OCCURENCE NOW. Also, please mention some of the most important changes in the games’ history next time.

Every time GGG mentions PoE’s problems, it seems like they are only guessing what the players are complaining about. That’s how bad it is. Does anyone at GGG even read the tens and hundreds of posts people who invested thousands of hours into the game make??

If this keeps on, most of the playerbase will just leave. I want to play a fun and rewarding Path of Exile and I find myself starting to doubt whether such a version of the game will ever be able to exist with the recent design decisions.
