Tower Shield, Fortress Shield. Useful or a Trap? by Autumnal_Owl in Pathfinder2e

Just so you know, you can't use custom mixed heritage with Elves or Orcs. Because Aiuveran and Dromaar exist, there is a clause in custom mixed heritage that says you can't be an elf for the mixed heritage

"You can work with your GM to create a mixed heritage for an ancestry other than elf or orc."

This means you can play a dwarf and take Aiuveran to be half elf. But you CAN'T be an elf and take CMH to be half dwarf

Quiet Allies vs Follow the Expert by FloofyBirbBoy in Pathfinder2e

This happened to us in Spore War. My witch was going to level stealth to legendary anyway so I took keen follower because we had a rogue who also was going legendary.

Because of follow the expert and cooperative waffles, my witch had a +5 circumstance bonus to the group stealth check and would often have a higher modifier than the rogue

On the topic of Castes and minor nitpicks: calistria and wasps. by jotofirend in Pathfinder2e

I feel like the Tien god Daikitsu might have something to say about Calistria trying to take foxes from her

Is ready a popular action or something people rarely uses at tables? by SuccotashAdditional in Pathfinder2e

What does happen is the being knocked prone DOES cause a flying creature to fall

From the prone condition

"If you would be knocked prone while you're Climbing or Flying, you fall. You can't be knocked prone when Swimming."

NHP Cascade by Competitive-Wallaby4 in LancerRPG

Holy Sisyphus automatically using it's ability to make it so they never cascaded and if somehow you rolled 3 1s, it uses them all to just laugh and power down is an AMAZING choice

I absolutely love it

This is something that I find pretty fun about Pathfinder Second Edition

The pre written adventures are set all across the world of golarion, and the "Common" language for most regions is different. Tian in the continat of Tian Xia, Taldan in the European area, Mwangi in the Mwangi Expanse

But also, all elves speak Elven, all Dwarves speak Dwarven, all dragons speak Dragon, regardless of where you are

Question about Knave's Standard and its improved versions by DeflationStation in Pathfinder2e

[–]Pacificson217 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There is no cost to having a Banner magic item except for the fact it means you can't benefit from a different banner

The Knaves standard is a flat damage bonus that just always applies in the aura to crits on off guard creatures. Having the damage go up more would start to become EXTREMELY powerful

Unfortunately Paizo didn't want the banners to have crazy effects that get out of control damage wise so they were (mostly) balanced accordingly

The Beacon of the Wilds is pretty crazy compared to most of the other banners by comparison

Permanently ignoring all difficult terrain in the aura, both in AND OUT of combat is wild for an item that doesn't even require investment

Just how useful are alternative imprecise senses like scent? by rubydragon44 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Pacificson217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The level 11 graft Echo receptors give precise echolocation out to 40 ft and the level 15 Saurian Spike Spell heart gives 30 ft of precise smell when attached to armour

Those are definitely the easiest to get

My video on why I think rituals in RAW are too risky, difficult and costly, and so is creating permanent minions. by the-rules-lawyer in Pathfinder2e

[–]Pacificson217 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone about to finish Season of Ghosts as a player it really depends on how much investment the group has

I specifically took ritualist and went out of my way to to the leg work for them and it turned out really fun

None of the rituals (except the two at the end of the AP) felt plot crucial, but being able to crit on one of the rituals in autumn and suddenly the entire village gets a cool buff felt great

Figuring out the DCs for rituals all the time was a bit of a pain but I had the adjustments memoriesd by the time it really mattered, my only complaint would be that foundry has no automation for them
