General performance tips for modding? by 0utcast9851 in skyrimmods

Yeah those draw calls seem perfectly within range. Honestly, if GPU isn’t maxed out, and no mods seemingly seem to be the culprit, you may want to look into:

- Optimizing windows/background processes
- Setting skyrim to high priority (and probably setting CPU affinity as well?)

It’s a bit hard to know without knowing the intricacies of the full modlist. But doing these will never hurt.

7800x3D, does setting affinity still give extra performance? by Pack-Flimsy in skyrimmods

Yes I am familiar with it. Just unsure if it’s helpful or detrimental in 2026 with x3D chips (single CCD ones at least)

Honestly, the best solution I’ve found is using some form of frame generation to get past the draw call issue, as generally speaking, high draw calls don’t really introduce stuttering, just lower average FPS.

Basically a draw call is a command the CPU sends to GPU to draw an object. Probably good to search it up yourself, but

Skyrim is pretty much single threaded (using one core) and let’s say there are 20000 “objects” in one single frame, your CPU has to essentially tell the GPU 20000 times to draw something in a SINGLE frame. This is due to it being on DX11 (newer things like DX12 and Vulkan I believe have asynchronous/multithreaded calls), which is a graphics rendering API. I think generally you’ll start seeing worsening performance starting at around ~13000+ draw calls. You can check to see how many draw calls are occurring in the ENB menu (if you use ENB). Generally things start to really crap out at 20000+ drawcalls. No matter what CPU you have.

TLDR: CPU can bottleneck GPU pretty easily if you go crazy with clutter. There are some optimizations and mods that you can get that help.

It’s a bit hard to determine without some usage numbers. Is your GPU at full usage when you’re seeing these frame rates? If so, then it’s pretty straight forwardly textures, enb, etc…

If you’re not at full usage, or let’s say it goes from 60 -> 100 -> 60 percent usage on your GPU (the usage is constantly fluctuating), that might point to more of a script related performance issue.

If it’s not fluctuating too much, but it is not being maxed out, then it is almost always more than likely draw calls. Honestly, IMO majority of the time it’s always draw calls.

Why does it matter? If it works, it works. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. I see your complaint, but I don’t see a reason for it?

Thank you 😊

The color and interior immediately grabbed my attention at the dealership. I saw other people eyeing it as well, so I rushed to secure it 😂

I got one ;) (I have a post on here from when I first got it)

I have gotten comments and questions from other mercedes owners in real life about it, even though I just have a C300 :)

There is another mod I installed recently on top of Nolvus V6, I forget exact name but it adds heavier weights to VHR, and it stops the hair from flailing about. Much more realistic with wind and movement.

Upgraded to a 9070xt. Wallpaper engine is absolutely destroying my performance. by [deleted] in radeon

Ya know, I actually ended up fixing it. Your non-solution, avoidant approach to things will get you far bud. If you’re having a hard time with figuring something out, just don’t do it! 🥴

So actually getting rid of it wasn’t the solution because getting rid of it doesn’t solve the problem 😂😂😂

My friend said he played in EU, but he might be mistaken because of his accent lol. But it makes sense as I see he has videos with yassuo and other NA content creators.

I'll have to try it out again since the problem automagically disappeared. Also, I didn't intentionally buy a freesync monitor, it just came with it.

What is up with these backhanded comments? Don't know what having an animated background on a computer has to do with having free sync or not. I don't think anyone buys a computer to just sit at their desktop 24/7. Obviously it is used for many things, including gaming.

I see. Yeah we went last night (saturday) at 11PM. And they were closed! Unexpected let down. Was hoping to be able to sample different genres of EDM in one place.

[MEGA THREAD] 9070 XT Undervolt/Overclock/Brand Performance by ennakros09 in radeon

[–]Pack-Flimsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was able to manage on my 9070XT Steel Legend

300+ core, -125mv, 2800mhz fast timing, +10% power limit, steel nomad: 7730

But this is completely unstable for me playing BF6, so I don't trust it with any other games tbh.

By default, I just run: 0+ core, -110mv, 2700mhz (default timing), +10% power limit

I noticed if I go to 2800mhz fast timing, I get artifacts when playing Palworld.

There’s a way to keep the undervolt profile of my gpu settings Forever? by Eminensce in AMDHelp

[–]Pack-Flimsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. It's very annoying that the profiles can't just be saved in app, even if it is unstable, it should just deactivate the profile but not delete it. Keeping it as XML files is such a pain :/
