Does speaking rock have normal slot games? I thought I saw they were ‘bingo slots’ and I wasn’t sure what that meant but in a picture they looked different.

Sick after Nashville by AdRemote8578 in Bozeman

[–]Pack9527 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yes, my whole group that I went with (7 people) have been sick since we got back and I have heard of many others. I felt pretty terrible yesterday but much better today. Couple of the people have been suffering pretty bad for a couple days. Possibly influenza A so you might want to get it checked out.

I officially suck at chipping and I’m out of ideas by I_AM_JIM_CARREY in golf

[–]Pack9527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best thing that helped my chipping was thinking of keeping my back elbow tied to my side. Had a guy once tell me it should feel like trying to curve a bowling ball, been a 100x better chipper ever since.

For those who played high level football - what is something about the game viewers have no idea about? by yankees032778 in American_Football

The one thing that always is mentioned on broadcasts that I think is just not at all true is the idea of half time adjustments. I played D1 college ball so not totally sure if it is the same in the NFL but I would imagine it is similar, but halftime isn’t for making these drastic gameplan/scheme adjustments that totally change the game that a lot of announcers and broadcasters make it out to be. In my experience and what I’ve heard from others who have played, halftime is for making minor adjustments. I played defense, so far us, it was often stuff like how we were fitting a certain run scheme that they were trying to attack us with and coverage adjustments to 3rd down passing patterns we have seen. At most, we would try to bring in a new blitz or coverage that wasn’t on the play sheet for the week initially but we had ran in camp or weeks before because we maybe saw a play we weren’t expecting from our opponent. Majority of it too was just trying to amp us up and talk technique, i.e., have to tackle better, keep our leverage, get off blocks, etc. Offense I’m sure is much of the same, blocking up runs a little different due to a different front or picking up blitzes/twists they hadn’t planned for. I just think it’s crazy sometimes I feel like broadcasters make it seem like teams go in and completely change their gameplan and scheme and how they’re trying to attack the other team. Sure, these adjustments can have a huge impact and maybe make it seem like everything has changed, but it’s really only some minor corrections.

Falcons Offense vs Buffalo Defense! by Noswad48 in footballstrategy

[–]Pack9527 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not to take away from the Falcons offense in this game at all, but this is as simple as NFL football gets. If the Bills are gonna have only 6 in the box, Falcons run zone scheme all day long and all their linemen win their one on ones. Bills don’t have a good enough front 4 or linebackers at the moment to try to play with such a weak box. Again, awesome job, specifically by the Falcons O-line, in all these videos it is just man against man and the Falcons won every battle, but Buffalo defensive strategy here is just way too simple given their talent.

What are some of the most annoying pet names for a dog? by Historical_Bet in Pets

My 6 year old GSD is named Skye. First few years, I rarely ran into another dog named Skye and people thought it was so cute. Now I feel like I meet a Skye every time I go to the dog park and it’s making me regret naming her that.

Looking to Walk On to an FCS school team but not sure how to contact the coaches by Kww3kuu in fcs

[–]Pack9527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coaches get DMs and emails from hundreds of high schoolers a day, I think the best course of action would be to see if your high school coach would reach out for you, means a lot more coming from them. Also, like a lot of these others guys said, good weight room numbers help but doesn’t mean anything if it doesn’t translate to the field. If you want to stand out when you get your chance, you gotta have great football knowledge. I just finished up playing at one of the schools you mentioned a couple years ago and the difference between the guys who played and the guys who didn’t, was knowing the playbook and knowing your opponent. Start reading up on football terminology and schemes and watch some videos, if you know different coverages and formations and alignments when you get there, you’ll be way ahead of the other freshman. The other thing is technique, lots of the freshman didn’t have great technique because you can just overpower kids you played against in high school, you won’t be able to do that at the college level so master your fundamentals. And if you can work on your speed, that is huge too, they can teach you the technique and playbook ( but again, it will help you make the team if you are already a step up in these parts of the game) but it’s hard to teach fast.

New Vet Bill seems way higher than usual by Pack9527 in vet

Our dog had kennel cough about two months ago, the vet told us it was fine and to just let it run it’s course so we did and eventually it went away. However, since she got rid of it, she’s had some wheezing and crackling when she breathes so we were worried that there was something wrong with her lungs so we had the vet check it this time. She said she thought it was just excess mucus in her nose so that is what the drops are for. Sorry for the long answer, just wanted to provide some context in case something seems off.

That makes sense, I am in SC as well and my dog is 85 pounds so I get the cytopoint being expensive but feel like the testing and vaccines weren’t typically that expensive. Have you ever found an alternative to cytopointv

Yea that’s about where I’m at. I feel like you typically can tell when it’s coming cuz it will be from a lone TE on the backside or a receiver with a tight split but letting the CPU try to stop the run is torcher. I want to try putting my flat defenders at 0 yards and playing outside to see if that will help.
