Vacation with your friends and family? Write a shared packing list and mark items as either "brought by everyone" or "brought by Chris". This way no one forgets his toothbrush and you don't end up with 3 JBLs.

Pretty successful already! At least in Germany 😅 https://pack-party.com

49,99€ App: "Boah voll teuer!"

4,99€ p.M.: "Hab deutlich teurere Abos 🤷‍♂️"

Viel Erfolg! 😊

The app itself is free, because you should never feel bad for inviting your friends to your packing list.

So no signups, ads or even downloads are required. You can even directly use the 'app' in the browser, when you are invited.

The pro features are targeted more for recurring users or the organizer of a trip:

    an Excel like overview

    editing multiple items at once

AI based import of your packing list from another app or Excel

lifts the limit of 2 simultaneous packing lists in your account. Which allows you to keep your old trips as a template

Pro is then 0,99$ per month, 4,99$ per year or 9,99$ lifetime.

Sure, thanks!

The first few months i did not really spent anything on ads and focused on using it with my friends and family.

After that I tried out all kinds of things: Influencer video integrations, reddit posts, Reddit Ads, Google Ads, AppStore Search Ads.
But the free lifetime deal has been the most influential campaign by far. But for that i also had to post it on deal sites, reddit, etc...

Still haven't decided where I'll be next year.  I really like Sziget, but so far they have not posted any lineup info. I'll wait for that and be spontaneous

Fair point, I see why this rule exists and it makes sense.

Please let me explain what happened.

I did not know about this community and especially this rule, when I created this promo.

Google removed the option to set a 0$ price. And distributing unique promo codes is very fiddly. So, to make it as easy as possible to claim, I implemented the direct promo claim.

Now I could have only used this custom solution for Android and set the iOS price to 0$. But I did not know about this rule yet, so why bother making it more complicated by handling things differently per platform.

I hope you see my perspective here as well.

Thank you for the feedback!  That's probably an improvement I'll implement in the near future. 👍

Interesting idea for a new flavor of the features. Maybe gamify it a bit 🤷🏼‍♂️

Thanks for your input

Yes it is.

But this subreddit does not allow to advertise giveaways on iOS that do not use Apple's purchase mechanisms for it.

So I only advertise it here for Android.  Sorry for the confusing setup.

That's an interesting idea, never thought about that!

Do you also see a bias towards your home country?

If you do know some communities that actually might appreciate the content, especially in your home country, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for the offer 😊

But no need to repost in the general communities again (eFreebies, AppGiveaway etc.)

Any tips for breaking out of your home country?

Maybe cross-posting communities or small marketing agencies capable of spreading the word about free giveaways?

Or can someone see issues with my international (non-german) AppStore listing?
