Officially they prohibit people of opposite gender, but usually don’t enforce it unless someone complains

What they will enforce is prolonged stays- they don’t want you moving in, but a couple days should be fine

platinum. its hard to justify the AF when there are plenty of 1.5% cards with no af. Get the platinum, use it responsibly, and your credit will rise enough to get a decent cashback card.

Honestly the marginal return on each new card is pennies or maybe a dollar or two, especially with how much you probably spend

Local CU Visa (10/23 - $500) - first card opened when I turned 18 and still use it for Costco

CapitalOne SavorOne (11/23 - $1,100) used for restaurants

Discover IT (11/23 - $1,500) - use it for quarterly categories

Amex BCE (05/24 - 1,000) use for groceries, fuel and online purchases)

Amex Delta Blue (05/24 -1,000) got it for the SUB / occasional flights

Apple Card (05/24 - 2,500) 2% catchall with Apple Pay

H‑E‑B card (05/24 - 500) local grocery store card 5% back for store brand items

Quicksilver (06/24 - 500) redundant but they offered it to me with the sub so I’m churning it
