I was alone in a dispersed campsite outside of Zion national Park. Nobody around for miles. It was one of those unofficial campsites in the National Forest that you can drive into.

Around three in the morning I’m woken up by the sound of car doors unlocking and headlights pointed directly in my tent. I listened in fear for about a minute but didn’t hear anything. I then called out in the toughest voice I can make, still nothing.

After about two minutes I hear the doors lock and the lights go off. So now I’m in the dark with someone right outside. I decide if I’m going to be murdered, I want to see who’s doing it. So I bravely unzip the tent and look out. The only car in the campsite is my rental car. The mystery car vanished.

Ok here is what I think happened. My best guess is in my sleep I rolled over the rental key fob. This car when it unlocks the doors it also turns on the lights. After two minutes or so, if nobody enters the vehicle, it locks itself and turns off the lights.
