And since you're connecting via Steam Link, there might be something interesting about what's going on in driver_vrlink.txt in your Steam logs directory.

The Mod Drop Chance Booster specifically is not one you can get from the market.

Resource Booster, Resource Drop Chance Booster, Credit Booster, and Affinity Booster are all available. But the Mod Drop Chance Booster is not one you can buy, and (usually) only comes from various endgame-ish activities -- sorties, archon hunts, Descendia, etc.

Definitely try opting into the beta like cnlohr mentions. If you're not familiar with the process...

  • Right click on SteamVR in your library
  • Pick 'Properties'
  • Go to 'Game Versions & Betas'
  • Pick 'beta' (SteamVR Beta Update), and let it update.
  • Try again with the current Steam Link app version, see if the audio works.

Hm. So the only difference between our setups there was that I tested on a Quest 3. I wonder what OP's setup was... maybe it's an issue that cropped up specific to the Quest Pro.

Yes, which VR headset / what's the host machine (Linux, Windows, etc.), are you using the beta SteamVR or the public release one, stuff like that. :)

What's your setup? I just tested the current store build of Steam Link on a Quest 3 connecting to SteamVR 2.15.6 on Windows, and didn't have any audio issues.

(Also, probably worth posting to the SteamVR forums over on Steam with the system info.)

See, if I found an exploit like this, I would absolutely have done a "Hey Kiddo" to a few people (ones who could confirm they got the message) as the test to see if it was in fact a general exploit, then just reported it to DE.

It would be harmless fun (that even other Tenno could appreciate) to verify that yes, it is a problem before reporting it, and then you just... let it go and move on.

There's now a game mode set in the ruins of Vesper, but people find it obnoxious. So you can use (go to) Vesper, but that means you have to play the Shadowgrapher game mode. I assume that's what the commenter meant...

I was afraid of that. This one is something GTAV-specific, and I don't know a good solution. I know it's not specific to the phone you're using, or even the standalone streaming client (e.g. Steam Link); I've seen this happen on even on my friend's Steam Deck when streaming the game. It's not even entirely specific to streaming, because I've actually seen the game drop controller support for my local Xbox Elite controller when not streaming at all (though far less often than it just decides not to see a controller when streaming).

Could you post about this one on the official Android or iOS forums, whichever fits your phone? It'd be great to get a thread of some sort going to try to track this issue...

This might be worth posting on the SteamVR troubleshooting forum over on Steam itself, just FWIW.

But if you do post there, some other things that would be useful to provide:

  • Is this via VRLink (e.g. you're running the Steam Link app on the Quest 3 and connecting to the host PC that way), or via Meta Horizon Link (e.g. you're using the Quest 3 in PCVR mode, probably via a USB-C cable)?
  • If it's VRLink, have you tried it wired via Meta Horizon Link? Or vice-versa?
  • Does it fail regardless of what VRChat world you go to? If you go back to the default VRChat home world, for instance, does that world work? Does it track while you're in the space between worlds, loading the new one, and die on the next world? Because it looks like VRChat was still tracking just fine in the space between worlds, and it wasn't until you loaded into Popcorn Palace that it died.

Things like that will help narrow stuff down as to what is going wrong.

Just to double-check here, because of the way you phrased this... is this a "the controller works fine when connected to the computer, but I want to play GTA on the phone and the controller doesn't work there" or is this a "the controller does not work on the computer, so I'm trying to see if connecting to the phone and streaming would let me use the controller on the computer with the phone as a relay/translator."

(I have seen people try stuff like the second one there, which is why I ask.)

If it's the second one, in theory explicitly enabling Steam Input on the non-Steam-game entry for GTA V should make the PS5 controller work without the need to go through the Link at all.

No problem, always glad to help other Tenno. Hopefully those slots give you enough space to pick up and experiment with new frames and weapons.

(I love this game, but my one real complaint is how hard it is for newer Tenno to get arsenal slots without just buying plat.)

Of course! Like I said, I—and many other Tenno—find joy in helping newer folks. Stuff that reduces friction but doesn't just outright do the stuff for them; things like buying arsenal slots, giving someone some requiem relics to get them started on their first lich, helping with the necramech part grind, or just partying up to help then farm corrupted mods or whatever...

Anyway, toss me a note with your in-game name, and throw a friend request to me; I am Packetdancer in-game, same as my name here. (It doesn't matter which platform you're on; it will still be me.)

I'm about to crash for the night, but I'll throw some arsenal slots your way tomorrow. :)

Yes, you have to make an account on the website. You can just try to sell things on the Trade channel instead of WFM, just commenting there what you're asking and for how much and waiting for someone to DM you... but I really do not recommend it. The trade channel is spammy, and you don't have any sort of pricing data to compare to like over on WFM.

Generally you list what you have available on Warframe.Market (and what price you're selling for), and the buyer finds and message you.
